§2384. Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Maybe.

But there must be limits to the application of First Amendment protection to DELIBERATE lies about the legitimacy of the US government, the president, etc.

You shouldn't be able to say "Joe Biden stole the election. The government of the US is not legitimate." over and over again if you have no subjective belief that this is the case.
Same problem for you under American law. Where is the evidence that Limbaugh attempted to cause the use of force, or that he advocated the illegal occupation of federal property or the taking of federal property?

Being wrong about a matter of electoral law, or even lying about what electoral laws require, or even lying about facts connected with the election, without more, is not a crime.

As to your law reform suggestion, no thanks. Did you learn nothing from all those novels and films depicting the dark consequences of law enforcement based on "thought crimes"?

The remedy for speech that is incorrect is more free speech. If the Dems want to shut down the distrust that is out there, the only way to do it iis to engage in fair and comprehensive hearings on the integrity of the election, or to appoint a bi-partisan/non-partisan commission to do the job. Nothing else will work. I look forward to seeing what choice they make. I predict they will opt, instead, for hoping that voters will just give up and accept the refusal of Congress to respond. That won't work.

Just as I will point out how ridiculous it is call moderating hate speech 'fascism', as you accept it here on this board.
You're just a chicken little.

The issue at hand happens to apply to America. There's no such thing as "hate speech" in America. Not yet, anyway.

And it is another problem with current media: they do not understand the idea of what proof means. For example, it was not proved that the win was illegitimate. However, there is also no prove that it was legitimate. The absence of the proof does not imply that the opposite is true. For example, the fact that there is no proof that it was legitimate does not imply that the statement "the win was illegitimate" is correct. Similarly, the fact that there is no proof that it was illegitimate does not imply that the statement "the win was legitimate" is correct. The correct statement should be "there was no definite proof that the win was illegitimate." The court never says someone is innocent, it says that there is no proof someone is guilty.
It was proven to be legit.
Trump and his expert band of investigators combed through every possible source of fraud or error and they were all assessed and rejected in court, proving the election was legit.
Even Barr said it was bullshit.

Ah, so you must think that Canada and Terb both are fascist, since they both ban hate speech.
Why are you here if you think we're all fascists?

Just as I'm here to remind you that your views are ridiculous.
So, hold on a second; you really believe that there's a form of speech called "hate speech" under the first amendment? Do tell.

Amazing these so-called irregularities only favored Biden. Wow, incredible insight from the land of the delusional.
Biden won legitimately...I don't think there was cheating involve...was there some irregularities? sure...always happen when there are massive ballots to count...some could be lost some misplaced but that could happen without intentions too...Biden is president now...but a lot of you guys seem to forget that you never accepted Trump beating Hillary legitimately and dragged the "Russian Collusion" for almost 4 years without once admitting that Trump won fairly....

Categories of speech that are given lesser or no protection by the First Amendment (and therefore may be restricted) include obscenity, fraud, child pornography, speech integral to illegal conduct, speech that incites imminent lawless action, speech that violates intellectual property law, true threats, and commercial ...

To me, hate speech can fall under ‘incites imminent lawlessness action’ such as insurrection and sedition.

This is Canada.
Terb also has moderation for hate speech.
Enjoy the fascism.
The thread is still about the American individual in America. Swing and a miss, as always.

Feel free to ignore my posts. You have that right. But, I will call you people out every time you decide to embrace and support fascism.
Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy
Gee- sort of sounds like Trump and how he wanted to handle Portland

Really, I thought this thread was about Limbaugh and his support of sedition.
You're playing the wrong sport here.
Limbaugh is Canadian? If not, why the fuck are inserting Canadian standards? I can see why you're confused.

And also sounds just like socialism. Do yourself a favor and leave Trump out of this. When it comes to suppressing, censorship and violence he is not even on the same continent with the lefty fascists.

Could you, please, provide an evidence of this proof. The only thing that courts did is stated that there is no sufficient evidence that there was a fraud. Absence of evidence of something is not the proof of the opposite. So, basically, there are two false statements in your post:
1) "Trump and his expert band of investigators combed through every possible source of fraud": we do not know it, maybe other souses exist? I have no evidence to say they do, but also there is no evidence to say they do not
2) "rejected in court, proving the election was legit: If evidence are reject din court it does not PROVE that the opposite is true. It just means the evidence are not strong enough to prove that the election was rigged.

Again, take a logic class.

If people run from fascism, fascism will be everywhere and there will be no place to run. Someone needs to fight against fascism.

Yes, the courts said there was no evidence of fraud.
Feel free to keep believing things with zero evidence, we know its a way of life for you.

The question is why, after declaring board moderation and hate speech laws as fascism, would you stay here instead of joining the land of truthiness and Limbaugh?
