That's what I was saying from the very beginning. BTW, we will not let our guys cut concrete unless they have N95 on the beard free face - because the size of the particles matter and the fine concrete dust is many times larger than the virus. Oh well, I'm just glad this is (hopefully) over.
Concrete dust has very different properties in air than moisture droplets. That should be obvious to anyone.

Can't believe that it's been two years and people still can't be bothered to figure out why masks were mandated (or understand why doctors have been wearing them for over a century).

Ideology before science.

The left wing extremists seem to never be able to mind their own business yet have a problem when people shame them when they selectively follow the $cience when it suits them….which is nothing compared to all the coercion and discrimination the last year and more the unjabbed have and continue to have to endure.

Yeah, the right are real bastions of personal freedom when it comes to gay marriage, abortion, gender equality, and just about anything that got society out of the 1950's mindset. Is there a sarcasm tag needed here? Is this too subtle?

Then, when medical professionals mandate some measures during a global pandemic, they lose their fucking minds and still can't let it go. No sarcasm needed.

There's a big difference.

When the anti-everythings don't follow public health requirements they put others at risk, not just themselves.

When people continue to take precautions even after mandates we are endangering no one else. We are actually providing more protection to others.

Not that I expect the selfish and ignorant deniers to start comprehending now. There's no vaccine for selfish or stoopid.

To add, cutting concrete produces a couple hundred grams of particulate per minute while the amount of virus exhaled could be measure in nanograms.

Was at Costco with my Gf today. She wanted to buy some new frames from the optical department.

We were told that we needed to wear a mask to go beyond their counter to look at the different frames.

She wasn't having any of that so the manager of the department was called. He was apologetic but said they are a different department that has to follow different rules. Something to do with the College Of Optometrists Of Ontario I believe. Anyways he offered to get the store manager, so she was all for that.

The store manager came and right off the bat we noticed he wasn't wearing a mask whereas everybody she had dealt with thus far was. He arranged a compromise where the frames would be taken down and brought to her. They didn't want to do that before he arrived.

The store manager told me under his breath that the maskers or ''sardines'' as he called them have been giving him a hard time since the mandates were dropped. Seems they're appalled that Costco is actually letting people make their own decisions when it comes to their health. He shook my hand and asked my name and apologized on behalf of the store.

Just goes to show the level of fear porn there is out there. The indoctrination is deep.

Heads are starting to roll. When will they come after the ones responsible for firing all the nurses who were not vaccinated and now dealing with staffing shortages which is affecting patients and the critical treatments and surgeries needed. They still won’t swallow their pride and call them back and keep projecting their failure on their health staff while failing to realize the mental health damage, burn out and exhaustion this is causing. Many nurses are calling sick due to heath and over working burn out conditions. They are not telling you this. They need to come after the management in healthcare who keep enabling this in support of this destructive ideology which is hurting our hero nurses our most precious front line workers and patients all due to their pride, ego and disconnection from reality.

I applaud Alberta for doing this. Doug Ford you need to step up here and do what it is right brother.

I'm glad you two found each other. It's hard to meet new people. I hope your ex girlfriend takes it well.

What happened next? Did you blow him right there?

Wow, you and your GF couldn't wear a mask for a few minutes so others around you could feel comfortable during their workday? I haven't worn a mask myself since the mandate has been lifted except if asked by an establishment which is their right to do so. I keep one in my pocket just for such an occasion. It's called being a good human being. You walk into someone else's business or home you follow their rules or shop else where, it is not too hard to be part of society.

Textbook virtue signalling.

Haven’t worn a mask since the mandates dropped, if you have an issue with that you’re always welcome to stay home.

On the other hand we ARE in another wave of pandemic as we speak. But, no one is bothering to test or even speak about it. Trust the science! WE went from the Omicron panic attack to total indifference in a matter of a three months or so.

Only if you listen to the anti-everythings. The vast majority of people are being cautious and showing respect toward our fellow citizens.
