Well that certainly blows the stereotypical view of an SP's future most people have out of the water!

It's great to hear you found your dream. This industry certainly has the ability to help some ladies achieve what they want to achieve in life, although not all take advantage of that. Thankfully, I know another lady whose early 20's echoed yours. She graduated with a bullshit degree that would get her no where, and she had $25,000 of debt. It would have been more, but she began stripping halfway through her program. She made the jump directly to escorting and did that for a few years after graduating, not only paying off her debt, but accumulating a rather large chunk of change that she was able to invest. She was able to go back to school for a far more useful degree and she now works as a registered nurse...something she never thought she'd be able to do. She said that not having to worry about money and the flexible schedule gave her what she needed to really pursue her dreams.

These stories are out there, but far too often go unrecognized. Thanks for sharing Ex-p!

Why bother arguing with a misogynist? Unless you ladies do it for sport, save your breath. let the haters hate and masturbate.

The only person whose opinion really matters about your success is the one you see in the mirror every morning.

You talk about not putting sps down yet you generalize them by saying most of us come from group homes and say we have barely finished high school. I was an upper 90s student in all my classes except math... I do have post secondary education and I'm working thru furthering that. You really have no idea how difficult it can be working as an sp. We constantly put ourselves at physical and medical risk... I get calls every day from pimps and thugs asking me if I need "representation" every day I get calls of men asking for bare back sex and yet you complain about our so called exorbitant prices
I empathize with some of the shit SPs have to put with. Dealings with pimps and thugs must be atrocious, but many SPs bring it upon themselves by the company they keep in their private lives. A lot of money SPs make goes straight into the hands of their thugged out boyfriends. If what you say about yourself is true, then you are most likely the exception to the rule, and you are not like the others.

a) A lot of the DOT COM version 2 companies' executives talk like that. Even at social events after a few drinks. It is pretty obvious that they would talk like that among themselves. Huge egos, huge growth potential, tons of money.

b) I only know 3 SPs well enough for me to be certain I really know their pasts. All are university or community college graduates.

c) I love a tax free life ! I recommend it highly. :)

d) Lol do you go to restaurants and whine about prices as well?
Do you not feel some shame bragging about a tax free life...I know its many a person's dream, but at the end of the day, I want to pay my fair share as a contributing member of society....

Well you go right ahead and do that. On January 1st, 2012 we declared non-resident status and saved a bath tub full of taxes :).

Jurisdictions may change, but everyone pays taxes.
Not really. Several countries are tax heavens. As long as you do not spend more than 180 days in the countries that like to tax you, (Canada, US, UK, etc etc) and legally live in a tax heaven you do not have to pay taxes. You even get refunds for VAT and similar 'sales' tax.

You still pay tax. Just less. And it's tax HAVEN.

well isn't that sweet. Too bad you're not able to read this response ...
there's an awful lot of us "exceptions to the rule" out there ... I didnt quit school and live in a group home, nor do I give any money to any thug boyfriend
this is too funny to even get worked up about lol
I know one SP who gives a lot of her money to these very short very young thugs. And if they do not get it the whine and say terrible things to her like "oohhhhh mom!"

Shocking!!!!!

As an honourable, tax paying member of society I suggest you take an extra 13% of everything you pay to SP's and mail it to the Ontario government as the HST that should have been paid on your session. That would really show us all that you really mean what you are saying.

I think it is actually a legal requirement to do that, isn't it? :)

I am disappointed that this thread has taken the direction it has.

Why is it so hard to believe a success story?

I will be honest in admitting that most girls do not get introduced to this industry in any sort of positive way. Most girls do not grow up dreaming of one day being an escort. Whether it be financial hardship, a lack of university funding, complicated homelife, no other realistic options..... There are good reasons out there as well that I cannot think of right now.

Anyways, there are success stories that exist. Some of us do leave and start careers. I have graduated college, almost done two degrees and am professionally certified in my field of choice. I do make the same amount in gross income as I was as an SP after paying my "pimps," but it has been an adjustment not making as much take home pay and not living the lifesytle I once had. However, one day in the not-so-distant future, I hope to be in the same position again while paying 30%+ in taxes.

It has not been easy, and I do sometimes switch to being a sugar babe once in a while, but overall I would never trade my position for anything else.

The men I have come across in the industry were an asset to my success.

Not all women will exit with college/university degrees, but some do.

Who talks like this,

please don't come on here and boast about your "success" on your initial posts.

Is Plan B a bit lost on this one???

Where does it say that these were her initial posts on TERB???

How completely dense does one have to be to envision some truly successful person from some random place in higher life, suddenly discovering TERB out of the blue, and deciding at that point to join-up and make ones initial posts anything akin to these???

It might make sense to at least follow along with the plot before posting clueless responses.

It is hard to believe that ANY 26 year old is suddenly making 250k +++ per year. It doesn't add up frankly.

26 means 2 or 3 years out of school with a bachelor's degree (only) and the guys on this thread such as myself who have been around the block a few million times know that if you are working for someone else, this does not happen. She could have an MBA from Rotman and it still doesn't happen. There may be exceptions, but they are very few and far between.

The OP further went on to state that she is working for a mysterious "dot com company". Well, that might have been believable in 1998, or 99, or even into 2000 but the whole "dot com" insanity craze imploded in 2000 when the reality of no earnings, no profit, and no anything imploded in spectacular fashion. A few dot coms servived - ebay, amazon (which has a massive warehouse and logistics machine), yahoo (barely) etc, however most if not all are based out of the USA.

Anyway, great if it's true,but I suspect a ruse.

JTK, it's improbable, but not impossible (perhaps no more improbable than a working girl making good?) Negotiate a good commission structure in any sales job and it's just as good as being self-employed. If anything, with her background in escorting and massaging, she's got post-grad level experience in jedi-mind control over men, no doubt.

Actually the IP's and their infrastructure are making tons of money and it is an incredibly dynamic industry. If she is actually able to land many clients in a 6 country division, (men become much easier to sell and manipulate after being an SP) she could be earning that kind of money. And most of the new companies do offer stock and huge bonuses to motivate their sales people. I sort of know that cause I am into venture capital.

Is her story true? I have no idea. But I do know it is possible. I also know your statements are pretty much not accurate in most of the world.
