The papers are reporting Belfour's back injury is more serious than originally thought. At his age, who knows ......

Canoe - Slam Sports, February 6th:

"Leaf fans must cross their fingers that the 38-year-old Belfour doesn't break down physically in the second half of the season because Toronto is dead in the water without their all-star netminder. "

i heard when Sudin played Alfredssen in a Swedish Charity Tourney two years ago he beat the Sen by 4 strokes and the funny thing is Alfie gets more time to practice then Sundin ever year???? Well except for last year... I guess natural athletes prevail in the worst situations....

Kathleen,
Hasek is still out indefinitely. He started to skate in practise in late January but from what I hear he's not close to coming back. I doubt he'll strap on the pads until he's 100% sure he won't reaggravate the groin injury - if he does chances are he would be done for the year. There is no way in the world Detroit will trade Joseph away this season - he's not available.
I think there are more good goalies out there than the ones you mentioned and . Kolzig would be on the top of my list. He's huge.
Roenick let it slip at the All Stars that they're really close to pulling the trigger on a trade for Burke.

I don't know why you say yikes. Watch them light the lamp. Sundin and Aflie are friends remember!

Any chance this ridiculous thread could be closed? I mean, a bunch of the others were.

How 'bout it, mods? Why was this f*cking ridiculous one left open?!?!
