Reading the Boston Bruins boards and it's funny. So many of them sound so negative like us Leaf fans when things go bad. They talking about choke job in 2010 to the Flyers. They are asking for Seguin to sit out game 7 and they want Kessel back LOL!!! Many are asking for coach Julien to be fired. And Jagr is fuckin puck hog because he doesn't pass, except on the last minute goal.

Randy Carlyle messing with Claude Julien's mind with masking his lineup. As we know Joe Colburn played tonight because what seemed to be a game time warm up scratch to Tyer Bozak. In fact Joe Colburn knew he was playing game 6 in place of the injured Tyer Bozak after game 5. Randy told Joe keep in secret to throw off Julien.

Breaking News!

Can things go any worst for the Bruins. The Bruins are staying at a Toronto hotel tonight because their flight is having problems. The Bruins may not make it back to Boston until late Monday morning or Monday afternoon (either way they are screwed) for game 7. Advantage Leafs. :eyebrows:

Kudos to you for such up to the minute information.

Bruins excuses are all lined up if they should lose game 7 - shorten season lockout, out of gas not in shape for playoffs, the unfortunate incident at the Boston Marathon, our plane was delayed ...

OR Maybe, it's a tactic by the Boston GM to put them in a Toronto hotel tonight, so the team can avoid distractions of the Boston media and treat game 7 as a road game.

OR maybe, it's a delay tactic, to get Gary Bettman to reschedule game 7 to Tuesday and a extra day rest for a tired Boston team. Knowing Gary Bettman he will accommodate Boston given the events that happened in Boston.

It seems to me that the Phaneuf critics were mainly armchair GM's. The media has been fairly supportive of him.
There are a lot of hockey fans, but I think most people really don't know much about hockey. I think I don't know much about hockey, but when you read some comments by fans or in the press, they seem just plain ignorant.

This Kessel trade years ago. How is that working out? How many members of the Toronto hockey media condemns it, and will still continue to condemn it.

The guy who broke up the play at the blue line then skated all the way to the opposing goal, surprising everyone and allowed to stand there to tip it in because he surprised eveyone, and you will hardly find anyone saying he is a good captain, or he stinks. Phanuef is beginning to play with that edge he had in Calgary in all phases of his game this series. Physical in your own zone, open ice hits that hurt you need an edge to do that and he's been doing that every damn game so far, and then the offensive skills he displayed in Calgary. Phanuef is the Leafs best defenseman. Gardiner is flashier, but in my mind, those who say Gardiner is the Leafs best defense are just plain wrong. Although, Gardiner is damn good too.

Kadri made a few defensive plays tonights, and nice play in the high slot for the first goal of the game, and winning a faceoff, JVR drives the net, Kessel with a lovey garbage goal, backhand forehand all in one motion.

We can say so much more, but it's late.

Game 7 Monday Night.

If Kadri is not scoring (he got an assist) at least he should play well defensively. I was impressed with Kadri in game 6 as he did not make any turnovers and made smart plays with the puck.

Somewhere in Sweden, Mats Sundin is shaking his head and saying, "why didn't I have this team".

The Leafs of the early 00's had average scoring with a feeble defense and great goaltending (Joseph/Belfour). Once the netminding fell off the team collapsed with Sundin becoming big fish in a wading pool. The current Leafs forte is defense; Fraser goes down and Gardiner and O'Byrne step up. As an associate in Boston e-mailed me "the Leafs D just doesn't quit". A young goalie like Reimer would not have developed with the blue line crops of the early 00's.

The old rule about Zdeno Chara still applies.

When he's on his game he sweeps all before him, when he's not he looks like a brontosaurus. That is why after the opening round of 2001 I started calling him Brontoburger.

I'm surprised I haven't had a heart attack because of the playoffs yet. Saturday's game with Pittsburgh was crazy, and it didn't help that I had bet on Pittsburgh before the game started and many in-play bets on them.

Toronto and New York have really impressed me so far, and I can't wait for them to play tonight. I'm big on stats and everything is pointing to Boston and Washington winning, but I think Toronto is just more confident than ever. More importantly, Reimer seems to have settled in and is doing great under pressure. And I think New York has played better hockey than Washington, even though Washington has more dept and a more experienced roster.

I hope Bozak can go tonight, but if he cannot I am confident Colborne will be more then happy to play in his second career Stanley Cup playoff game and do well.

I am so very impressed with the playoff preformance of Gardiner. Wow can he skate. He seems to scare the shit out of Boston too because they are backing off when takes the puck and goes with it.

Reimer has been fantastic. He may not be a Vezina candidate yet, but he is way better then the clown Toronto media and other idiots make him out to be.

Kadri is playing well, a goal or two would be nice but he is making up for that in other ways. This is the player the Leafs drafted.

Leo 'Bang' Komarov just keeps on hitting. And do I love the hitters. Go Leo Go !:thumb:
I see the Bruins looking over their shoulders as they approach loose pucks 'where is that guy, I do not want to get crunched'.

Di-on Di-on Di-on Di-on Di-on Di-on ! Way to go Phaneuf ! He has been very steady in this series and down the stretch in the regular season.

And of course Phil 'Winning goal' Kessel has stepped up this whole series when the team needed him most, despite the best attempts of the Bruins trying to intimidate.

Regardless of what happens tonight the Leafs are for real. They have more then proved that. They are developing many good young players and those players have gained and great deal of experience.

That said I am most confident that Leafs Nation will see a very good game from the Blue and White tonight.

Go Leafs !

Don Cherry is making a valid point about Toronto losing so many faceoffs. (Maybe we should have kept Steckel.) Anyhow, we have to win despite that.

Looks like this will be another close one goal game. Officiating is even handed so far (2 PP for Toronto resulting one goal). SOG's, Toronto 12-Boston 7.
