Rematch tonight! The Habs should come out strong after the 6-0 bitch slapping they received in the last game against the Leafs!
I saw the game differently. I thought Montreal came out much faster and had the Leafs on their heals for the first 10 minutes. The Leafs did come around and for the most part played pretty hard until the latter part of the game. However, whenever the Leafs played hard, Montreal still managed to play harder. The shots were 40-22, indicative of the territorial play.
I agree with your TSN turning point but the failed penalty shot by Grabo took away some momentum as well.
Toronto rarely outshoots the other team. The 5 minute major and the phantom faceoff when Bozak raised his stick because he wasn't ready were killers.
Just going by the Toronto Sun sports report in Wed. paper. Leafs would have been better off not having Brown in the game as it turned out. They can't expect to go far if they continue to be badly outshot every game.
You're right Kat, I hope that Orr and McLaren can be kept on the roster. They are a big part of the Leafs this year in the success they've been having.

I'd say this is such a childish idiotic comment and nothing else.
A lot of people never expected them to make the play-offs. But they did.
A lot of people expected them to fail terribly...4-1 or 4-0...they took it to the Boston up to game 7.
For such a young team. you can only ask for so much.
Let's be honest. After that series. Most Playoff hockey teams got the benefit from that. That was the blue print on how to beat the Boston.
Sadly...the leafs defense is still a farce. That can be fixed. I wasn't a believer until they took it to game 7. Win or lose. That was a great series. Leafs got the taste of what the playoffs is all about. I'm looking forward for the leafs to kick major ass next season. But...
Ok, I'll go out on a limb and predict that the next Canadian team to win the Cup (whenever that is) will be the Maple Leafs. The new owner Bell is a winner and they will produce a winner. Randy Carlyle is a winner as well.
We can develop our own winners. Reimer is a winner. Jake Gardiner is 22 and can play for another 15 years. Kadri is only 22. Kessel is only 25.
