I was curious as to what that means in terms of goals.

Seeing as 5 games went to overtime I assumed each team averaged approx. 35 shots a game. (In a 60 minute game teams typically get about 30 shots.) Over 6 games, that's 210 shots per team.

The difference between .915 and .925 for 210 shots works out to just about 2 goals difference for the series.
Bang on, Holtby allowed 2 fewer goals on on 2 more shots. And 210 wasn't far off.

No, restricting ticket sales to U.S. residents only is Not a common practice
The Leafs are a unique situation. Their fan base probably travels better than any team in the league. They are likely the only team that can have their fans drown out those of the home team.

It's like the Green Bay Packers and their fans. The Packer fans are probably the best travelled, mostly as a result of their geographical location being so far away from other NFL cities. It was at a Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium and I was amazed how many Packer fans there were there ! That place is Loud ! Understandable holding 90,000 fans under one roof

Seahawks fans are well travelled also considering Seattle is up in the northwest corner of the U.S. I was at a Kings game at Staples Center and the barmaid at Hooters nearby told me about the Canuck fans that go there when Vancouver plays. Mind you that was at end of 2011 after Vancouver's Stanley Cup run ( and Riot ), you wouldn't see that now to the same extent

It's a shitty practice indeed.

For years and years Canadian snowbird bought thousands and thousands of tickets whenever the Habs, Leafs or Sens play in Fort-Lauderdale. I went twice myself. They even always schedule a Habs game on December 30 or 31 of each year as they pretty much fill the arena with Habs fan...

I hope the snowbird and other canadian tourist will remember...

I have got a kick out of watching Blue Jay road games from Seattle in the past few years. At times it actually sounded like a Jays home game. Not only do Jays fans from B.C. go, but Jays fans from Alberta and Saskatchewan also attend. I think the Seattle organization was quite embarassed by it.

Leafs looked overly excited to start the game. Couldn't execute. Two powerplays a few grade A chances and they muffed them all.
Power play not getting it done is a killer.
Bobraovsky played well in this game. Better than Samsonov.
It may be time to go 7 11 again.
Unlike against TB can't really say Florida outplayed Toronto.
The game was tied 2 2 when they gave Florida a breakaway to one of their best shooters with their primary shut down D pairing on.

Defense played poor last night. Giordano had a particularly rough game. Even Brodie wasn't his usual stalwart self. Liljegren playing like he's lacking confidence. Thanks Keefe.
Nylander pissed me off he made some poor decisions on potential scoring chances.
Knies looked fantastic you'd never guess he was a rookie out there.
Lots of room for improvement it wasn't a particularly well played game yet I thought overall we still played better than the Panthers. Bobrovsky played well stymied the Leafs a few times on the PP.
Game 2 is a must win and I expect they will get it done.

People are predicting the Leafs are the favourite for winning the cup. Based on their performance against the Panthers in Game 1, the Panthers are the better
team having the better chance of winning the cup. The Leafs have long not paying enough attention to their defense team, Giordano is too old and too slow.
They can't defend against the Panthers fast 5 men rush in attack mode. Blame Dubas for not paying $$ to beef up defense. Why pay so much for those 6 forwards
who can.t score. Find more kids like Knies.

Nylander was floating around. Don't need him on the perimeter, he's got to go to the net. His stats mirror his play of late.
That game was faster than I expected. Maybe a little too fast for Gio to keep up.
Leafs had some Grade A chances but were stymied by Bob. Matthews first shot, had it not gone off the shaft of Bob's stick, it may have been an entirely different game.
While not a must win, it was certainly a winnable game. Frustrating that they didn't close that one out.
I expect a win Thursday night.

If only you were the Leafs GM, we'd be guaranteed a cup.

Leafs are paying Muzzin 5.625 million but hey he's injured.
Leafs acquired 3 Defensemen at the trade deadline and got rid of their smallest defenseman that was on the roster.
One of the Defensemen they acquired had more goals and more points than Morgan Rielly in the regular season.
Another they acquired lead the league in hits. The 3rd they acquired played 27:22 minutes in Game 6 vs TB for the win.
They have 3 Defensemen in reserve as healthy scratch and one of them had more goals and more points than Rielly in the regular season.

Agree with KD and GameBoy - fucking Nylander is a joke this far in the playoffs. Never has there been a bigger chickenshit floater than him. He's clearly terrified of the rough going and makes poor plays and dead giveaways every damn time an opposing player comes anywhere near him. I hope he feels the well deserved deep humiliation every time the team watches him shit his pants and run for cover/the bench and then watches Marner grinding it out in the corners and blocking shots left and right fearlessly. I could understand if he was a consistent threat when he's on the ice, giving 100% every shift, or at least lighting it up on the scoreboard, but fuck, the guy is virtually INVISIBLE!

Absolutely hate the fucker, and no one will ever convince me he adds a single iota of championship value to the Leafs roster. So done with this guy!

I think it is a mistake to make an equivalency between outplaying and having a territorial advantage.

If Fla. did not outplay Toronto, how did they win?
