unsure why Berube put in Paciorety, hasnt played in like what 2-3 months, and he puts him in here?? this Robertson kid has been the scapegoat on this team since he got here. plays hard every shift, has SPEED , yeah hes not the biggest, but you cant deny the effort.

Apparently Leafs power play is on a 0 for 30 run in close out games under the Matthews era. That is an astounding stat. They've also allowed a short handed goal in each of the last 2 close out games.

The only series they won, which was against TB, they won 3 OT games. So that's what it takes.
If they had lost one of those 3 OT games there would have been a game 7. The epitome of a close out game.

Full marks to the Leafs for the series win.

Stolarz came up big for them tonight...This year they have the goaltending to make a serious run at this.

Ottawa was better than Leaf fans thought. Cheering for Toronto now.

Nylander - he’s turning me from a critic to a fan. No more do I see the floating and fly bys in years before. Hope he can perform with the same determination against a much tougher and rougher Florida team in the next round.

That game was intense. Give Berube credit. They played his style with no panic. That shot block by Laughton appeared to have hurt him. Tip of the hat to him. Nylander with 2 goals. Max P with the winner and great set up by Domi. Stolarz was fantastic and they needed him to be. They finally scored a PP goal in a clinching game.

I’ve been lobbying for McMann to be on the 2nd line but Pacioretty started there instead. As it turned out he was switched with Pacioretty who went on to score the winning goal while on a line with Domi and Holmberg. I believe we have the bottom six better than any other years in this core four era and they‘ve made huge contributions in this series.

For the game:
Max P created the turnover with a primary assist on Nylander's first goal.
Nylander also had an assist so 3 pts. He also lead all forwards in utilization.
Max P. played more than any other forward other than the core 5.
Benoit played more than Tanev.

For the series:
Max P has only played 4 games but he leads the team in hits.
Nylander has 3 goals 9 pts in 6 games.
Matthews leads all Leafs forwards in shot blocks. He's also very good on faceoffs 59.5%.
Laughton is the 6th most utilized forward behind the core 5.

Sweet Mary and Joseph! A 73 year old with that volume of timbre, Joe Bowen is the shits.

Berube was right to bring back Pacioretty, Robertson would have gotten knocked around.

Ciao Turds, I can put away the Grand Funk record.

Stolarz is playing well but now he plays against Florida where he was the back up last year...he's 31 and the Leafs are the 5th NHL organization he's been with, there is reason why that is, he's been average throughout his career.

Toronto versus Florida is going to be interesting. I'm stoked that the leafs won but I really did see a team that wasn't looking very confident, playing on their heels and squeezed out the win last night.

.....maybe I'm being a pessimist based on letdown my entire life. Sorry to say that go leafs go. It's so easy to get caught up in the twilight of excitement with this team over minuscule victory.
