They should be able to since they are basically playing an AHL team tonight. Goaltending may be the equalizer.
If the Leafs can't beat the Otta....opps........sorry..........Binghamton Senators tonight then the whole team should be fired and the fans should revolt. No Spezza, no Karlsson, no Michalek, no Regin, et al. Plus the Sens are starting FOUR rookies tonight in their first NHL game.

Craig Anderson is one of the top goaltenders in the league right now.
Both clubs have been battered by injuries.
Las Vegas has installed the Maple Leafs as a small favourite (mostly because the game is in Toronto), but the game is prety much a crapshoot.

Kessel is a shooter, not a passer. Why was he trying to make a pass on that 2 on 1? Me, I always shoot.
When your 4th line is chipping in the way they have, the team should have a good year. With a condensed schedule the 4th line will be counted on in back to back games more and more.
Winning ugly but a win is a win. Two goals bouncing off bodies and skates and an empty netter. 34 saves by Scrivens.
There was an aboriginal issue going on last year at Attawapiskat. Seeing as how debates tend to deteriorate around here, I thought I'd try using that as an insult in an attempt to provoke a particularly offensive Ottawa troll.

On a similar note, I noticed the other night during a Leaf game (I think it was) where the announce kept calling the Leafs the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Anyone else notice? What was up with that?
Orr and Mclaren are from Winnipeg, the Leafs wear blue , Bowen thought it was special. Pretty lame!
This is beginning to look like a very confident Leafs team.
In the post game comments, Carlsyle has a semi-goofy grin on his face, all the while complaining about how many chances the other team had at the start of a period.
We really did not know what kind of team he had. It is becoming clearer every game. It can score, it can play defense. The teams under Wilson were one dimensional offensive teams.
These guys can play. Guess there just wasn't the right balance with those Wilson teams.
The next game should fun to watch. Both teams will try to score. And we're going to see how good the Leaf checking line really is. Who thought that the checking line with Garborski Kulemin Karmolov would be effective? The results don't lie, low scoring games.
