The average pay for a lawyer is $50K- to $150 K in Ontario. They all don't all get the money or glamour of Perry Mason or Suits. Actually, in Suits you should remember a room of young lawyers that would read briefs, research papers, prepare forms for the big boys - I'm guessing they are not exactly rolling in cash. I had a friend that graduated law and ended up in a small town settling farmer claims. He now works in an IT department. I'm not suggesting you can't make lots of money but it is not a slam dunk you will hit the Jackpot when you get out of school.
