Gotta say though, while the Lakers were winning those 3 straight titles from 2000, Shaquille O'Neal was an absolute beast and the best player in the league. Those Lakers were his team and Kobe was supporting him.
If Shaq had totally applied himself, he could have been one of the best that ever played in history. However, in the pantheon of Laker superstars over the years, he would be definetely be behind Magic and Kareem. And depending on whether Kobe wins a couple more, might even be behind him.
