Zanzibar 3 alarm fire

I'm an early riser, at approximately.6am. I went to throw some garbage down the refuse chute, smelled smoke in hall way, thought "must be the wild fire smoke, again" . Checked the air quality index for Toronto and it stated good quality. I'm thinking WTF? tuned into CP24 to learn that the Zanzibar roof was on fire.

I was a regular at the Zanz in the 90's as i would go there after work when I worked the afternoon shift. Was there with a co worker at pervert's row when these 2 young hotties came to us for lap dances. Turned out they were the daughters of my co worker's rugby coach, LOL
I remember the first time I went to Zanzibar, I was high on cocaine with my former high school classmate (who I will refer to as an acquaintance because he wasn’t really a friend). I wish I brought money for the VIP lounge because there was an attractive Vietnamese stripper that I never saw again. Anyways, that acquaintance eventually OD’d a few years down the road so I was glad I never met up with him again.
Wow, these fires in strip clubs are becoming more prevalent. I have some good memories as a dancer at Zanzi! It was my first Toronto strip club, and it was my first experience in the VIP room with someone who is hearing impaired, so we spent the whole time dancing and texting back and forth! Hopefully no one was hurt during the fire, curious to know if it will reopen.

HOLY SMOKES!! I used to fly there and dance there every summer! What is going on!? I hate to be a downer, but I feel like these fires are being done on purpose for insurance, as the adult entertainment scene is not the same as before.
Not sure what's going on but for anyone in Northern Ontario it sucks now. Basically no lap dances between Fanny's in North Bay and a few clubs in Edmonton, unless Calgary has amended their by-laws lately.
