WTF is that? Two different answers? Even in the parts of the interview that they showed, she sounds confused. I find it hard to believe that they would vote her in, she's just not presidential material. She seems scattered.

CBS '60 Minutes' airs two different answers from VP Harris to the same question
The Trump campaign has called on CBS to release the full interview unedited

CBS aired two different answers to the same question in its "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, replacing a clip from the Democratic nominee that aired on "Face the Nation" Sunday when the interview package aired in a primetime special on Monday.

Harris was mocked by conservatives when footage of her offering a lengthy "word salad" that was aired by CBS on Sunday’s "Face the Nation" to promote the "60 Minutes" sit-down, when Bill Whitaker asked why it seemed like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t listening to the United States. However, the vice president’s lengthy answer didn’t make the version that aired on Monday night on "60 Minutes" and a shorter, more focused answer to the same question was shown instead.

"Well Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region," Harris responded in the "Face the Nation" version.

The same reason he didn't attend Republican nominee debates. He doesn't have to. His opponents are either irrelevant, or in Kamala's case, she'll undercut her own chances when she does interviews like she is now.
Trump's interviews are catastrophic. He lies from the word go, whereas Harris is far more articulate and concise in her responses. She is doing numerous interviews now.
Trump is just shitting his pants to have another Debate with Harris. We know that Trump's advisors would prefer that Trump sits down instead with some alt right hosts who would pose just very friendly questions and even help him to respond in a less reckless manner!!

It's irresponsible of them to have edited it and the full version should be released. Her inability to answer simple questions shouldn't be hidden.

I bet at least one answer she gave involved saying "I was raised in a middle class family..."

Even The View tripped her up. She had a chance to distance herself from Biden and didn't take it. Her political astuteness is shockingly poor. No wonder they were basically hiding her for two months.

So true. Her dad was an economics professor and her mom was a biologist. Both had PhD's. At the very least she was raised upper middle class.

Beaver, besides you're obsessive need to deflect every time someone makes a valid point about Kamala Harris' campaign, Trump is WYSIWYG. The Democrats with the help of liberal media are running a You don't need to see what you get campaign. That's no way for a democracy or the media for that matter to function.

Kamala Harris has a curated campaign. Some will argue with me, but I think the practice of a curated campaign began with Biden in 2020. Now of course, it's fair that candidates say what they want, reveal what they want and appear where they want.

However, media outlets curating interviews is a breach of journalistic integrity. It's also absolutely absurd. Of course, CBS is trying to make her look better than Harris' own words expound. I would argue CBS' actions made them a Harris advocate and an extension of her campaign.

I'm not getting the criticism of her self-declared middle class background. Many upper middle class Americans have a sense of unawareness about their good fortune.

The criticism stems from her answering multiple questions that have nothing to do with her upbringing that start with "Look... I was raised on a middle-class family".

It's just dogging her for her nonsensical word salad answers and her shying away from ever actually answering anything substantively.

I've never seen someone in high political high office get so befuddled when answering questions in my life before Kamala. She comes off as a novice.

Take the teleprompter away, she's lost. Don't give her interview questions ahead of time, and she's tripped up. This is with soft ball questions from people trying to help her out.

If interviewers were caustic toward her the way they have been toward Trump over the past 9 years, she'd break down in tears.

.
@realDonaldTrump
is correct. This could be the worst violation of journalistic ethics ever during a presidential election.
@60Minutes
literally manipulated
@KamalaHarris
answer (after the public blowback of her answer from the preview release of the excerpt) by cutting, culling, and pasting her words. This violation of the public trust requires a CEO-level intervention, acknowledgment and apology. And the viewing public needs to see the unedited, unexpurgated interview in order for the public not to be misled in the last days before the election. Anything less is a whitewash and an acknowledgment that CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon orchestrated the manipulation. Who else on the CBS team would be bold enough to do the cut and paste at the risk of destroying
@60Minutes
? Where is Shari Redstone on this catastrophe?

I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (“cut and pasted”) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought, all in an effort, possibly illegal as part of the “News Division,” which must be licensed, to make her look “more Presidential,” or a least, better. It may also be a major Campaign Finance Violation. This is a stain on the reputation of 60 Minutes that is not recoverable - It will always remain with this once storied brand. I have never heard of such a thing being done in “News.” It is the very definition of FAKE NEWS! The public is owed a MAJOR AND IMMEDIATE APOLOGY! This is an open and shut case, and must be investigated, starting today! Donald Trump Truth Social 07:16 AM EST 10/09/24
