wow Reggie off the bench 13 rebounds....shit he doesn't play for the Raps these days.
What happened to the defense? 60 first half points and the Nets kicked their asses in the paint.
Fields yuk Bargnani yuk

The paint points isn't surprising based on the make-up of the nets. First 1/4 looked great. Defense in the second half wasn't bad. Looks to me like the raps are learning a new help defense scheme but don't have all the rotations down yet.

I was disappointed again in the play of Bargnani and Fields. I don't see anything positive from Fields offensively or defensively, his shooting is a joke. I was hoping to see last years Bargnani before he got hurt, just not there. While the Nets are going to score in the paint, that was an ass kicking in the paint.
I do like Lowry. Gutty player I think(hope) things will get better as he gets use to his team mates.

NIce to see we can beat a lower echelon team like the wolves, missing both Rubio and Love, then only after Barea gets hurt and "has been" Roy gets into early foul trouble.

Well Kyly Lowry seems to be the real deal, and he's making DeRozan look real good too. 3 games in and Lowry is basically "All Star" material. Leads the team in points, rebounds, steals....and a few assists too.

a win is a win and the Raps needed that one. I'm not sure how the game would have gone if Rubio and/or Love were available.
Bargnani ???? Fields can't shoot shit but he appears to becoming a little more involved. Jonas will be real good but he is going to pay his dues to get there.
Lowry wow. If Bargnani ever gets his game together, Lowry and DeRozen"s numbers should get even better.

Most of Bargnani's interviews following his really bad nights show him just shrugging it off as a bad shooting night, and that it happens sometimes?? Decent NBA players(i'm not even saying Great Nba players) find ways to contribute in other ways. Bargnani just doesn't contribute in any other way. I'm even wondering if by mid way through the season we won't be seeing Amir Johnson and Ed Davis replacing Bargnani and Valunciunas in the starting line up??? I wonder how Amir is taking his demotion this year to an unproven kid?? Amir seems to be a great guy, but sooner or later he's gonna get pissed. If Derozan and Lowry keep putting up 50points a game along with rebounds and steals we'll be modelling this team like the championship Detroit Pistons and just complementing with the best possible rebounder/defenders. We actually have enough pieces this year to make a decent trade. That guy Pecovic for Minnesota is HUGE and really does have a pretty decent game. They just stopped going to him for some reason?? We got manhandled up front by Lopez in Brooklyn and both Hibbert and the much smaller David West walked all over us. I think we got the guard position taken care. We just don't have anyone dominant up front, not a dominant scorer and after letting Reggie Evans leave we don't have a dominant rebounder. They gotta do something up front!!!!

Season is playing out as I expected. Raps will be one of the better of the bottom tier teams.

andrea bargnani well rested and 15 pounds bulked up

Andrea Bargnani has not looked right in Toronto’s first two pre-season contests and he blames fatigue . That is a pretty way of saying that I came into camp out of shape .

I am starting to believe the Raps should have traded Bargs last year when his trade value may have been at it's highest .. The Raps should put him on the 15 day disabled and get him a personal trainer and get him in game shape .. This guy has 7 boards this season and that is the same total our starting PG gets in one game .

I wonder if Colangelo has told Casey to start Bargnani. Bargnani has done nothing to deserve that role and a little time at the far end of the bench might motivate him!?! Wonky has it right on, Raps finally have a back court and the front court all but disappears. Jonas will be fine if he doesn't get destroyed mentally. Bargnani should be such a big part of this team and isn't! Anderson is their best 3 right now, Fields has to pick it up or join Bargnani on the pine.

On another subject... any comments on last night's officiating?

I thought the officiating was one sided underneath the baskets. Raptors were called for everything, Wolves could mug a Rap and no whistle.
Was that just me?

No . Bang on . I bet the coach feels like throwing a chair sometimes ..

On another note . Some players use criticism as motivation and some players sulk . Bargs sulks I think .

I thought Andrea at 4 alongside Jonas looked pretty good. Jonas is a bruiser and takes some of the pressure off Andrea and takes up room inside and is an actual scoring threat. When Jonas has to sit with fouls, Andrea looks lost. He really is like Bosh, a guy who doesn't have an inside game and with him on the perimeter there is no one else in the paint.

The coaches were making excuses for Bargs saying getting used to a new PG maybe one of the reasons for Bargs struggles . Bargs needs plays run for him in order to score cause his fat butt won't run and get open .

For those who took the Raps win as a " who cares it's only the Wolves " I just witnessed them coming back by 20 plus points against the Nets and the Nets were at home .

That just makes me ticked that the Raptors weren't able to beat the Nets if the crummy Wolves could.

Bargnani...looked good....not this year, just look at his numbers. It doesn't matter who is in there at the 5, Bargnani's shot percentage is awful he can't or won't rebound and his defense is almost non-existent. We need this guy back to playing like he was before last year's injury. He should be "the guy" not Lowery and DeRozen.

A lot of crazy results in this early NBA season . The Cavs beat the Clippers last night, heck the Knicks are 4-0 and the Magic are 2-0 .
