Who is the one player ?
Jonas.

I like the way Quincy Acy played last night, he's not afraid to give hard fouls and doesn't back down, too bad Casey in his infinite wisdom only plays him 6 minutes a game. It's not that he's that talented, but he gives the Raptors toughness, which besides Valanciunas, they severely lack.

I can't figure out why Quincy Acy isn't playing in the D-League ?

6:38PM EST November 29. 2012 - The Toronto Raptors have agreed to sign veteran shooting guard Mickael Pietrus, USA TODAY Sports has learned.

According to two people with knowledge of the situation, veteran small forward Dominic McGuire is likely to be released by the Raptors in order to make room for Pietrus. The Raptors (3-13) need help, and the addition of Pietrus is expected to be finalized on Friday.

The two people spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced.

Fourth-year shooting guard DeMar DeRozan leads Toronto in scoring at 18.1 points per game, although the Raptors rank 17th in scoring at 95.9 points per game.

Pietrus played in 42 games with Boston last season and 38 games with Phoenix the season before. The career reserve who shoots with range and is a quality defender has averaged 8.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in his nine-year career.

The Raps are getting Pietrus? Well that settles it then, it looks like the Argos won't be the only team in town with a championship parade.

Bargnani, in the final quarter, played awesome defense last night. He obviously can play "D" when he wants to. We saw it last year before he got hurt. If he is motivated to perform things could get a whole lot better, if not, long sad season!

Bargnani needs a Kevin Garnett type of player on this roster . Somebody that can get in his face when he starts acting like Bargnani . Glen Grunwald suround his young core
ie TMac, Vince with guys like Oakley , Kevin Willis , Davis etc ., when he was here . Who is this team's version of Oak on this roster .

4-15 now.. Casey really looks to have lost any coaching ability he once had and seems to almost sabotage the team with his rotations. The defense he had success with last year is also nowhere to be found.

At this point I'm hoping for a total tank worst than last year so both Casey and Colangelo are ousted by the off season.

I became a big Casey supporter last year. Defense on a team with "suspect" talent was great. This year more talent and it looks like a Triano team.
There is a piece of the puzzle in JV, just hope we don't lose him to medicrity which appears to be the level of play this franchise hopes to achieve.
Very disappointed and frustrated.

Disappointed and fustrated perfect description . Not much anger at the curcumstance . Here is hoping when the schedule gets more friendly this team can maybe pick up some wins .. I see the Wizards beating the Heat and Magic beating the Lakers and it got me thinking . Who have the Raptors beat that wasn't considered a upset ? I still think that lost against the Pacers opening night set the bad tone for the season .

Anyways, the Raps are 4-15 and Casey in his post-game interview said there was never hopes of the Raps winning a championship this season, and then he laughed. He said they're a work in progress. While it may be true that nobody expected this team to win a championship it's something a coach should never say, a coach should be motivating to a team and make his players believe they can win a championship even when they can't. His excuses are becoming tiresome, they're on pace for the worst season in their history, how long can they keep Casey and keep losing before he gets canned?

There are talks of trades between the Lakers and Raps that would send Pau Gasol to the Raps in a package including Bargnani and Calderon. The only problem is the Lakers promised Nash before he came that they wouldn't trade Pau, and Colangelo has an unhealthy obsession and attachment to Bargnani, so he'll never trade him, even for Lebron.

This deal should become a three team deal ... If Raptors get Gasol they should see what the demand for this guy is ... Rockets love Gasol and Wolves want Gasol ...

Casey is starting to piss me off with his yelling from the sideline when the Raptors are on defense. It's really annoying. They aren't 12 year olds learning to play, they are supposedly among the best basketball players on the planet or they wouldn't be here.

And the bottom line is it's clearly not working. If I was a player it would annoy the crap out of me, especially if I'm trying to concentrate and my coach is squatting down and yelling at me over and over and over like it's practice.

What it tells me is that the players are starting to tune Casey out. If he did that in practice and they got the message, then you don't need to do it during a game and constantly remind them. It tells me Casey has no confidence in his players to execute and he has to yell at them constantly to do what they should be doing second nature.

Even if the Raps trade Bargnani, Calderon and Kleiza for Gasol, which is the rumour, I don't think it's such a great deal. Gasol is on the wrong side of 30 and clearly on the decline, he's not having a very good season, and in July he'll be 33. If he does end up in Toronto we know it will officially be the end of his career, this is a team where declining former NBA stars come to die i.e. Jermaine O'Neal, Hedo Turkoglu etc. Gasol is not helping the Lakers win alongside Kobe and Nash, and then he wasn't helping them win alongside Kobe and Dwight, so imagine how much he'll help the Raptors.

We've always bad coaches, and we always say the last former coach was better than the current one, except in this situation. Triano was probably the worst coach in NBA history and should have never become a coach in the first place. Casey is bad, real bad, but he's still a very slight upgrade from Triano. Sam Mitchell, on the other hand, he was a quality coach. When things got bad the fans turned on him, but if we knew who the next 2 coaches would be we all would have wanted him to stay. I'm not saying he should be brought back, but he's just infinitely better than Triano and Casey combined.

The Raps usually hire inexperienced coaches, that's the problem.
