Okay, I've had enough listening to you short guys bitch, moan and complain about how life sucks being less than 'average' height. I am approx. 6'3" and, let me tell you, life is no picnic for us tall guys!
- I've lost track of the number of times I have been asked to "reach" something on a tall shelf or cabinet.
- I go crazy when complete strangers ask me... "How's the weather up there" or, if I "played basketball"
- Getting in and out of most cars can be extremely difficult.
- Even first/business class seats on most airplanes offer inadequate leg room. Not to mention how hard it is to stand up and take a piss in an airplane lavatory.
So, to all you short guys out there, don't think that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I should know... I can easily see over most of them!
Just saw this post. I'm 6'5" tall, but I have never minded those statement, though the 'hows the weather up there' has gotten quite old.
I look at my height as an opportunity to stand out in the crowd.
I don't mind standing in the back of a show because I can still see it unobstructed.
I LIKE reaching for things on the top shelves for those who are vertically challenged. Someone's got to do it for those little grannies.
Ok, door frames can be a bit of a bother, but after 25+years of reaching this height, I've gotten used to it.
When visiting friends with a pullout couch, some will offer their own queen sized bed for the night rather than the much smaller pullout. (Ok, real friends)
I love putting little kids on my shoulders so they can see the world better at my height. (And they like it too)
There are others, but it's all I can think of.
