Many things in life aren't easy. Sometime you need a lot of motivation to do the right thing. In this case, the motivation to live, rather than die under the despotic rule of maniacs.
I just don't think this is a realistic take given the dynamics over there.
Why didn't the Italian Americans get rid of the mafia in NYC that terrorized their own people? It took the US government to go in and they did so only because the mafia began taking over too many legitimate institutions.
Why haven't Black Americans risen up and dismantled the Bloods and Crips and other gangs that infest urban neighborhoods that cause nothing but pain, suffering, and fear to all law abiding Black residents?
The examples above are small fry compared to the situation overseas, where the people are not only fearful but have to choose between two groups that treat them like garbage - Hamas & the Israeli government. They get rid of Hamas, the Israeli government will still piss on them (figuratively and literally). If they just go on trying to live, they do so under Hamas rule which is no better.
Perhaps a better analogy would be Germans citizens that stood up to Hitler's rise to dictatorship. We know what happened to them.
