The fact that I am still walking around with my head on my shoulders and both my hands intact (just ask my favourite SC dancers) is proof positive that Christianity is NOT totalitarian. Yeah, its got a bunch of strict rules but they won't bury you alive if you bend a few and break a couple. Never said I am the perfect Christian, just an ordinary pragmatic Christian trying to get through this life as bet as I can.

It certainly is. And when someone says that something is your viewpoint, it means there is another equaly valid view, and that they disagree with yours.

I am NOT going to insert myself ino the debate between yourself and JHG, but differing viewpoints are not necessarily "equally valid".

Burying people alive was never the christian's 'thing'.....they preferred burning people alive at the stake, when you didn't follow the rules!...

Being burned alive at the stake is way way before my time (ancient history). Thank goodness. Actually, I think that Christianity is the only religion that will have me.
