I'm on Leia 18.5, but there are plenty of add ons that are still fine in krypton (17.x)

If you are still on Exodus that's likely part of the issue, that add on has been dead for a long while.

Gaia, Venom, The Crew are all active and supported. I like Seren as well. Paying for access to premium sources (Real Debrid, Premiumize) makes the kodi experience much easier. I can watch every program from any streaming platform or TV station all through kodi. My only paid services (outside the premium sources) is for sports.
I appreciate the post. I am on Leia 18.5....I will load and try Venom and The Crew this weekend.

Or you side load kodi and the right couple of add ons and stream everything.

I have a low cost add on for football, and another paid subscription for hockey, but I watch all my TV shows/movies for basically nothing. I just choose to pay $50 a year for access to premium content server sources that auto VPN my streaming.

It's true that nothing is truly free, if you are looking for true IP television there's free, good quality, and good content, but you can only have 2 of the 3 at once.

PS the 4k firestick is on Black Friday sale for 35, you can't really do better hardware wise at that price point.
I bought the regular one for $24 , I don't have a 4 k TV, is it still worth bringing it back and getting the 4K?

Yes, because the 4k stick has a lot more power under the hood.

You'll see performance benefits with the 4k stick. To me, the extra $10 is definitely worth it

I am having trouble seeing the tv show Jack Ryan on my kodi.
I keep getting no stream available , any body having the same problem?
Another show is Money Heist, I keep getting the Spanish version instead of English.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Reason you are having trouble is because what you are doing is not legal. You are watching pirated streams. So the programs that let Kodi get to the streams stop working. Makers of these programs get threatened with legal action so they disappear. Eventually new ones keep popping up and all is good for us Kodi streamers... Still illegal though ;-)
Getting a different box won't make a difference. What you need to do is look up on Google for "Kodi build"
There are tons of them. I usually search for "best Kodi build" and you will get links to working ones. Follow the install guides and your good to go.
Just remember it is illegal so eventually they may also stop working and you have to do whole process again.
If your not savy with computers it may seem intimidating but after a few times you will get the hang of upgrading Kodi.
Remember you are looking for "Kodi Build"
And ya no matter what anyone tells you it's illegal unless you are watching Netflix or Amazon Prime and so on.

I just had Leila 18.4 installed on my box, I am using a VPN .
Jack Ryan is the only show I have problems seeing.
Every other show I don’t have a problem with.

Thanks

I don't personally watch it, but Jack Ryan's entire run was successfully streamed on my kodi setup with no issues.

As has been already mentioned, the add-on you're using and the quality of your stream access is the key.

And while they're a good spot for a beginner, kodi builds are essentially horrible. Lots of bloat for little value, and it'll degrade your kodi performance. Once you have a feel for what you are doing, you can setup kodi on your own with a couple of add ons and stream everything you want.

Of course, if you are completely lost, I'll be happy to do it for you for a low one time fee LOL.

I'll even waive that for any of the ladies on terb who are interested lol.

So I ot my Fire stick and with the help of my millennial son, I now have Amazon Prime on my TV. The only problem I have now is that the sound only comes through my TV speakers and not my home theater.

I am guessing that I need to go to my universal remote and find some access to the port I selected to plug the stick into.

Fire sticks do not have a separate audio out, so all audio and video data is passed from the stick to the TV via the HDMI cable.

If you are looking for audio output to your surround system you'd need to have it go from the TV there. My TV uses an optical audio out port for this, I believe it's quite common.

Depends on your personal setup though.
