There you go again OTB with actual facts and not just brain dead rhetoric from pekkerhead and others, but all will be wasted on the truly ignorant and pekkerhead.
I know, you can't fix stupid and Pekkkr and his protege are damaged beyond repair....

That's great, but that doesn't change the fact that the iPhone is the be-all-end-all of smartphones when you look at how limiting it actually is.
Nor does its market share or sales #s mean anything in regards to its actual quality, performance or anything of the sort.
(see Faux News analogy to understand the point)

It just means, great marketing and branding, which nobody can deny, its pumped hundreds of millions into the marketing and branding.

When you compare the S2 and iPhone4S, you can see which phone comes out on top for performance and capability.

(I'd be defensive about my iPhone4(S) as well if there was an obvious better product out there and some diagram showed my own phone's weakness(es))
Enjoy..

...in fact, it seems the iPhone4S got a fractional head start, but regardless. lol)
How exactly limited is it. I've had mine, not a 4s, for almost two years, now waiting for the system/service to actually catch up to the phone capabilities before I get the latest and I have never said, ' I wish I could do that'? Nor has it ever failed to do what it was supposed to do.

As Tang' pointed out a few posts ago and others as well, no flash based sites for 2 years could be rather annoying.
Limiting one's experience is quite a P.I.T.A.
I know a couple of people who cursed the crap out of their iPhone simply because when everyone visited a said link that they got in their mail, they couldn't view the page because it was flash based.
With Android, you have the capability of it but it's not forced on you to play right away - you get a big play button no the screen and you can hit play or don't have to.

LTE is another story, which most Androids have.
Listen, I don't love Android as much as some would assume - because I'm no fan of Google.
However, I do like the capabilities of the Android as opposed to the somewhat limited iPhone.
They're both equally evil companies, just Apple seems more so in the sense that they control the user experience and hinder it to a degree.
(it's also the incessant crap about how wonderful Apple is, when really, it's not. I just like to point out quite the opposite and it shuts OTB and his protege DJ' up quite well......and fast)
Call me a devil's advocate.. ;)

By the time the phone powers on, you could have made a few calls, set some schedules, checked your email, visited a site or two (flash or non flashed based) and posted this on Terb all on the Android. lol

Well, considering my phone is seldom off, I don't to worry about that, especially when it a total of 30 seconds to power up. Again, little stuff that really don't amount to hill of beans. You obviously don't get many long emails and you also type a lot faster than I.

Look, I know it angers you that the iPhone isn't as shit shot as you cultboys think or claim it is and it's hard to validate it so... ESPECIALLY when the other options are a bit more flexible and not as restrictive.

As for turning your phone on and off, there are times when your phones are off. So to claim otherwise......

You wouldn't know the length of my emails, so no need to assume.
With SWYPE, I no doubt type a lot faster than you do (another thing that the iPhone cult would no doubt love to have, but can't, you can call that Apple iPride)

Keep in mind, that's the first gen of Swype, the new beta is faster (if that's possible), no need to double loop letters that require two of the same in a row (ie - happy, eerie, etc...) Installed the beta a few weeks ago and never a problem.

I just checked my phone.. 878 hours uptime.. yeah that boot up time is going to kill me. and your opinions are so one sided they're infantile.
I'm not a cult boy, I have been running android phones for over a year.. I'm not the one posting Anti apple half baked infantile bullshit 3 out of my every 4 posts in the tech forum like you and your twin WP.

I can't believe these people who care how long a phone takes to boot. or a laptop. these are done once in a blue moon. who cares? it's not even part of the buy/not buy decision tree. I don't have a smart phone but if i were to get one, it would be an iphone hands down. jailbreak and i can do anything. a huge community of developers has grown up around this phone.

Microsoft says Windows Phones have had Siri-like functionality for over a year

Microsoft's Craig Mundie said that the iPhone's Siri voice recognition software is not new technology as a similar system has been available on the Windows Phone for over a year, and claims Apple marketed the capability to shift focus away from the iPhone 4S's lack of new features.

In an interview last week with Forbes, Microsoft Chief Research and Strategy Officer Craig Mundie said that Siri's capabilities are not Apple-specific, and notes that Windows Phone's similar "Tellme" technology has been functional for over a year.

"The Tellme facility's been in the Windows 7 phone for more than a year," Mundie said. "So I mean I just think people are infatuated with Apple announcing [Siri]."

Mundie goes on to say that Apple's marketing prowess is something that Microsoft could learn from, though he feels that the iPhone maker had to focus on the voice technology due to lack of new features on the iPhone 4S.

"In a sense, you know, many people were disappointed with [Apple's] newest phone because it wasn't a completely new thing, so the only thing they really had to hammer on was that feature," Mundie said. "Maybe we need to pick a feature and hammer on it harder."

The transition from Windows Mobile to the current Windows Phone platform has been difficult for Microsoft, said Mundie. The Redmond, Wash. tech giant had to overcome "errors" in moving from the old OS, which was targeted at enterprise users, to a new consumer driven model.

Mundie hopes that Windows Phone will become a major player in the mobile market, noting the recent partnership with Nokia is "huge" in making the the platform successful.

Windows phone 7 is beginning to pick up a little momentum, very good things written about "mango" and with Nokia on board next year with some excellent hardware it's going to be interesting to see how they are going to do.

Ha! Goes to show once again that Cobster and myself are CORRECT when telling Apple fanboys like 5hummer that the iphone4S's high sales have everything to do with 'marketing' only and NOT that the phone is the best thing since sliced shit.

Apple is playing 'catch up' now in terms of phone design.

If anyone thought otherwise, they'd be kidding (fooling) themselves.
Jobs marketed, Wozniak created.

Much like Jobs did when he took over Apple again in the late 90s.
Nothing new here folks, move along.
