There is no war against Hamas. The ICJ has not demanded a ceasefire, because there is only 1 state actor here - Israel. So the ICJ cannot ask a non state actor to ceasefire - legally. By doing this the ICJ has established and acknowledged the following irrefutable truths:
a) Israel is assaulting Gaza and mass murdering Palestinians. Not fighting Hamas.
b) Israel is committing genocide and they have accordingly been asked to stop genocide and stop incitement to genocide.
c) By asking Israel to not attack places of worship, schools and hospitals, and by asking Israel to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza - the ICJ has once again acknowledged that Israel is committing war crimes and is engaged in collectively punishing Gazans.
These were the charges that people have been accusing Israel of all along and now stand vindicated.
The only positive for your ilk (if you can call it that, because it ideally shouldn't be, but par for the course for racists), is that, yes, all of these charges, accusations and judgements do equal, farts in a windstorm, because there is no one to enforce it. The only ones who can enforce it, is the UN security council, and any resolution there will be vetoed by the US.
Anyway, the direct consequence of this, will be more and more terrorism, deaths and destruction. The future looks bleak for the Palestinians. And this is why protests and activism in the west is even more important because hopefully at some point public opinion will eventually force the US government to act differently.
