...that we were having a discussion regarding rates for sps. The thread got pulled. I do not recall any bad language or profanities being vociferated. Yet the thread was pulled. My did we offend an advertizer? ( American spelling). Perhaps that is the problem. Hmmmmm. As I recall I asked Hobbyists to answer a question or two. I was interested in their views. Whether or not they chose to respond was there prerogative. An sp highjacked the thread. And the rest is history..... Very very disturbing.

If you re-read my post you will se I am not challenging her rates; I am simply asking if other Hobbyists feel the same as I do. I think this is legitimate.

By the way you are right regarding the originating thread. But I simply asked a question of fellow Hobbyists. Perhaps I should have started a different thread. I will assume responsibility for improper procedure here. I apologize. Still, I was just asking a simple question.

I did not see the thread before you pulled it. So I do not know if anyone responded. Obviously this thread seems to be between you and me. Others are fearful to comment. I am not.

Mable, stop it. You're giving the Capital a bad name. :p I'm so glad I moved to TO. I do miss Tracy and PK though.

MABLE, nor anyone else did nothing "wrong", he asked a question, maybe made a ligitimate comment, which is hopefully allowed. Having said that, I totally understand why the original posted deleted the thread, she has class and character.

Perhaps you should change your name to "TOguy"? lol.

In my opinion when someone posts a notice saying they are going to be in your city and here are the rates it's not a legitimate question to ask if anyone else finds the rates too high. Or for anyone else to provide an opion on how expensive she is.
If you find it too expensive shut up and don't go and see her. It's none of your business what she wants to charge. I knew as soon as I saw her post some a-hole would come out of the woodwork and comment.
Comments like yours effectivly discourage top SP's from coming to the city.
No wonder Ottawa has a reputation as being cheap.

But hey that's just my opinion

Agreed. In Ottawa's defence, a fair amount of guys in the now deleted thread made similar points.

First, she didn't say she was "going to be in our city", she was considerring coming.

Second, while it may be debatable whether rates are a valid discussion point, in my opinion, and I would think everyone's opinion, telling people to "shut up", and calling people an "a-hole" is inappropriate regardless of the circumstances, especially if it is not to the person's face.

I won't be posting in this thread any further and will try to be mindful that others feel that rates are a delicate discussion issue, in very limited circumstances. I presume it is still deemed appropriate to comment when we feel an SP's rates are good value, as in Connie's case?

Sorry i stand by my comments and would further say that they apply to the many other people on this board that in the past have felt the need to comment or disparage a girl for the rates she charges.

I simply asked a question as to whether or not anyone else felt the same as I did. I still think that is legitimate. We are here to disuss escorts services. An escort posts here rates. Fair enough. But what is also fair enough is how the Hobbyists view her position. No??? If she wants to charge $10000/hr that is ok. What I am asking is how the Hobbyist views this. And I should not be excoriated for asking the question. This lady wanted $700 for an initiating visit. I found this to be offensive.. I asked a question. For this I am vilified. In shieks words, P..P l...l;ease. No I did not get it exactly right, but wtf..... I am tired of discenting opinions being shouted down.

First off I apologized for not starting a separate thread and second, I guess so much for free speach and freedom of expression. So be it. YOU have expressed the view of this board. Well done. HEIL HITLER

I didnt see the original post, so I cant comment on it.
But I can comment on this. I am sick and tired of the Toronto peoples arrogant attitude towards Ottawa and the posters. And yes, Im talking about you. Oh, I forgot, everyone on the Toronto side is just so perfect, and all of us Ottawa people are cheap losers.
I am so glad I live in Ottawa and not Toronto. You couldnt pay me 10X what I make her to live in your city.

Well we don't need you anyway...

The point isn't that the Ottawa guys are cheap. The point is that posters (no matter where they live) should respect the ladies enough not to debate her rates on the board.

The same sh** happens every on the board. It isn't exclusive to Ottawa...

I have seen a lot of bs come out of ottawa as well as t.o and mtl and calgary and van and edmonton and niagra and n.y and I could go on and on,
as far as it goes I think yhe guys in ottawa pay a fair price on a whole.
you choose the sp you see, I am sure she tells u the price b4 you get there so if you don`t like the price don`t go....
Only you know how much you have to spend.
discussing a ladies prices just makes you look cheep.

my 0.02. IMO it's ok to raise a point that a high rate and a 2h minimum might discourage new clients - and in a new city all clients will be new. But if a girl wants to charge 1K / hr I can't see why that's offensive.
And as for sheiks harsh stance- since I've been around hereas long as he has I understand perfectly why. every ancestor of this board died a painful death from bashing the girls and various flamewars. This board has grown and become such a useful resource because the mods have taken a stance against this type of behaviour. So while on occasion it limits "free speech" slightly, it is for the overall health of the community here. As in any society there are limits to free speech. I for one think the mods do a pretty good job.
