How far would you go to track a crush?

Grant bad choice of word once in this whole thread. I said the stalking. Sorry. The tracking down. My bad. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

It is clear I and OTHERS have been calling him creepy. If you have issue with that opinion, take it up with all the others in this thread as well. Hell, even you said it was excessive.

It is creepy as fuck to track someone down like that. Maybe the columnist was being nice for not calling him out. She has to keep readers after all. Not that hard to figure out.

Sometimes people can't even tell that they are being creepy.

I feel sorry for the victim of this unwanted publicity onslaught. She could have just been friendly to a stranger and a few days later she learns from her friends, family and boyfriend that the guy she was 'flirting with and had an obvious love connection' was reaching out to her. She told him to take down the Facebook and newspaper ads - so this had to be a major embarrassment possibly with her friends and boyfriend wondering if she was on the prowl.

This guy posted on social media and in the newspaper to find her. Seems a bit excessive but I guess he was desperate for love.

This is the problem I have with social media, that anyone with enough information can spy on your life.
It is excessive, what this guy did.

The video of the 'nice guy" was also creepy.

But, at the same time, it is easy for anyone to video shoot someone without their permission and edit it
in a way that it is embarrassing.
I would have to wonder if she was a creep also in filming him during their date.

guys looking for girls not business entity...try again...
Yes, some guys become creeps thinking their SP relationship is real and I would expect some of those "Where is" threads are stalkers.

Being an anonymous forum, we have no context to tell if this was simply looking for a business or not (except for those guys who endless start threads looking for the same person.

Jen does have context with her ex so i'd be pretty sure she knows if it's closer to criminal harassment or trying to arrange an appointment.

He didn't stalk her. Stalking is unwanted and/or repeated surveillance of someone. He couldn't stalk her or track her because he didn't know anything about her.

He might lack social skills. He did go over-the-top in his cringe effort trying to locate her - ads and social media posts.

It's creepish behavior but would have been forgiven and treated as romantic had she found him attractive, was single, and wanted to date him.

In the era of social media every woman has instant access to 10,000 men willing to jump her bones within a 1 mile radius. Unless you have some fame and deep pockets, you're going to come off as creepy.

Justin Bieber did something similar a few years ago using his enormous fan base to help track down the identity of a female he thought was pretty and had never met: https://entertainment.ie/trending/j...stery-girl-for-him-and-she-aint-happy-357117/

If anyone was calling it creepy, it was a small quiet minority.

I think it's okay because his identity wasn't exposed. It's actually quite eye-opening to hear how some guys handle dates. Guy was very bizarre.

When someone needlessly shoots a video with someone's face in it, without permission, and edits it to pretend they're a creep to boost their fanbase, that's a problem and it's happened quite a bit.

The latest buzz is around a video posted by a woman in a gym that Joey Swoll commented on: https://www.tiktok.com/@thejoeyswoll/video/7190847432073284907

He's exposed quite a few of these attention whores.

The guy was trying to be nice seeing her struggling with weights, offered to help, and was waiting to use the equipment (we've all been there). But what she did is the kind of thing that can destroy a person's life all in the pursuit of more likes and followers. Victimhood pays these days.

He's the Beibs...majority of the ladies we're envious of the chick...and wish they were in her shoes....LIke I said...it's only creepy if you look like a loser...if you're good looking, you will most likely get the girl...and the girl will tell her friends how the guy went above and beyond just to "look" for her....it's only creepy when he's ugly, when he's handsome, he's flirting....if he's ugly he's tracking her...if he's handsome, he searched...context is key.

No no of course not. He wouldnโ€™t think that.

He thinks WE (as in woman) think that. He is just passing that horrible judgmental distinction over to us. Itโ€™s easier to blame us for that.

Coming from a guy that thinks suicide bombing groups like hamad is some sort of fighting for freedom... I think you don't get to ask me that question...

Wow, I wonder what suicide boxing looks like?
Though, given the brain damage that's just part of the sport maybe its just a new term for boxing in general.

You know it, i know it...attractive people get away more than ugly people...if an attractive person pursue's a chick, there's a big chance the chick will be ok with it and it's boosts her confidence that someone attractive went for her...if the looks like a loser...he's gonna be labeled a creep...that's just the way it goes...if an attractive chick pursues after a guy...same thing...if she's ugly...she's a creep too....that's just how society works...there are real creeps out there...this guy isn't...
