I've tried casually in the past to make some "soft adult content", like I wanted to hire a model to order pizza and then answer the door nude when accepting the pizza. I assumed the shoot would take 1-hour start to finish and I was offering $400 flat rate but nobody seemed interested. I assume it was because I had no portfolio or showreel to add credibility to myself when recruiting. When actresses are looking for work they want to work with huge production houses that will give them a trailer and connections with big-name producers, not some dolt with a camera like me (lol). Even when I messaged girls offering they would click on my profile and see no "previous body of work", which was probably an issue. But how do you build that initial portfolio? Get out there and film whatever you can.

If you actually have some film classes you should actually know the answer by now. However Start volunteering for any production In Toronto. You'll be approached soon enough If you're a good volunteer. I don't know anyone In the atrs who has been asked to do porn and sometime or other in some capacity.

Um, so a lot of people are seeing the contradictions, problems, motivations, and quite frankly the delusions over some of the things going on.

And while sarcasm abounds there is an underlying idea that this is not going to work out well.

So here is some reality, at least as I see it

Strip clubs are dying. Covid(OF) and the Internet have killed them. So lose that one.

All the major Porn sites are run by one player, Canadian out of Cypress. They are a grindhouse. There is no art involved. They churn through people in all positions. Any art porn is done by dedicated studios with a small crew. IPhone capabilities have changed the game. That's probably about 95% of how filming is done.

OF is a grind house as well. Any men involved in that are either traffickers, or "boyfriends". Also on small budgets with tons of work.

You want to be involved? Use you actual talent. Start a small, sly accounting firm, one man, that will actually work with SP's, Massage Parlours, OF girls, strippers, you name it.
