Well I'm a bit disappointed, unless you posted that for humour.
Do you really think that's proof?
Are you the guy in that video (haha you're funny!)
I don't get it, was that a joke?

Well I'm stumped, your previous posts are really ignorant but your video was really funny, so were all your posts really just jokes? Come on, really...

pro419, either you are being funny or you are seriously deranged.

DAMN I was hoping to get some contact numbers for the Jews who run the world.

Heyhey this was my 999th post!

Are we not men? Whip it good!

DEVO: You make a good point, sort of. Yes, I think that the outcry would be different if it were turned around, but I think the derision from Christinans would be HUGE, and his films would be boycotted very quickly.

Take a look at the outcry against Scorcese's film about Jesus, "Last Temptation of Christ". Christians in the US are easily as uppidy as the Jews, and they haven't been oppressed by Jews for 1500 years, either.

Lets pretend for a moment that Mel Gibson is Jewish. Lets also pretend that one day he got drunk, hopped in his Lexus, and consequently got pulled over by the police.

Lets pretend he made the following comments to the arresting officers: " I hate the Christians"! "The Christians are responsible for all that is wrong in the world"! The Christians cause all the wars"!

The arrest for drunk driving would certainly make the news, but would his scathing condemnation of the Christians even get mentioned? Would the media be up in arms about this tragic attack on Christianity? Would the Hollywood actors and movie producers immediately call for the boycott of anything related to Mel Gibson?

And what about the poor Christians, who were so horribly victimized by these statements? Perhaps they would view the situation as someone who had too much to drink one night and said some foolish things? Maybe they would simply laugh it off and get on with their lives.

Here another one

This makes me real sad, i was a big fan of mr rabin and i will be till i die. He is my hero, unfortunatly his assasination put the world in u turn to more violence and conflicts. this forgotten moment in history is the turning point that lead to 911, gwb election, invasion of iraq, invasion of afghanistan, palestinian purisings, election of hamas in palestinian territories and latley the hyiness attacks on lebanon. I am sure if rabin still alive non of this will ever happen.

Nope........you are in rehab and were still drunk when the first apology was made!:D
That wouldn't surprise me. Only in Hollywood would someone blow somewhat over the limit and decide he has to check into rehab. LOL.

lets see, a drunk drives at twice the speed limit risking the lives of everyone he meets, blows 50% beyond the legal limit and say some anti-semetic shit to the cops and you focus on what he SAID!? How fuckin' stupid is that. People should be concentrating on his willingness to drive loaded, not on his opinion. Is he rasist? Maybe. Is he a menace to society when he will drive drunk? Definately! This whole thread is about a temptest in a teapot.

Unbelieveable but I more or less agree with pro419 here. Yitzhak Rabin's loss was a big blow for peace (though I think even his efforts would have been futile in the long run).

This doesn't wash for the same reason that black comedians can make fun of whites and it's okay, but it isn't the other way around. Why? Blacks are the persecuted group and whites aren't. Not in most of the world anyway.

There will always be a difference between how we treat groups who have been historically persecuted and ones who haven't.

Or to put it another way, leave your analogy the way it is, but imagine that Christians were a tiny minority who had a similar history as Blacks or Jews.

Mel Gibson is heard by millions of people who have great respect for his work. Today, actors and musicians can be as powerful as politicians, sometimes more so. People should know the prejudices of someone who is in the business of making historical films seen all over the world.

Either we believe in free speech or we don't. I'm sure that we have all used derogatory words in time of distress and wish we could take it back. What I don't understand is people stating that some groups can be made fun of but others can't because of historical abuses. If we are to live in a world that is free of hate, no group should have any special treatment. As long as we treat someone special, there will be others who feel stepped on.
One thing this post has exposed is the pre-conceived notions that people hold dearly. A woman gets upset because an actor calls a female officer "sugar tits". How is that term hateful? Why does a man who uses a derogatory term get treated worse than someone who allegedly killed his wife for sleeping with another man while they were separated? How about the actors or singers who film themselves with underaged girls? People continue to watch their tv shows and buy their records. How about the popular singer who also happens to be a pedophile? He still has his fans. If using a derogatory term is considered to be racist behaviour, what about all those rappers who "n" this and "n" that? Are they racist or can some words be used exclusively by some people?

x^

I don't see the big deal about calling someone "sugar tits". Is that supposed to be hatred of women?

I would be very interested in learning which groups you perceive as being historically persecuted, and which groups you feel were not.

This is why I don't like supporting Israel. Jews are the quickest back stabbers. They'll kick a Christian down every chance they get. When Mel made his movie the accused him of being antisemitic because he didn't rewrite history. Check the comments on terb there was a lot of Christian namely Roman Catholic bashing. Now the guy makes some remarks and he is considered a hate monger by the same Jews who bashed him and Christianity.

In a very dark place
I've been around long enough to realize that it is ONLY racist if a white christian English speaking male says or does it. Everyone else seems to get a free pass.

Over home
Everybody screws up every now and then. I've been drunk and told someone I loved them. Wish I'd hollered at her for being a f***ing lutheran instead.
I stay away from booze now.

LancsLad,

Please allow me to add to your very insightful post.

It is ONLY racist if a heterosexual white Christian English speaking male says or does it. Everyone else seems to get a free pass.
