In the tune of Bonanza:

Dum-de-de-dum-de-de-dum-vegetable garden
Dum-de-de-dum-de-de-dum-dum-dum-de-dum-dum-corn.

Anyone knows what I'm talking about?

The prob is that man of the young guys here don't know about or ever saw All In The Family or The Honeymooners so they're not able to appreciate that humour. Nowadays, The Honeymooners seems corny since our level of humour is much more sophisticated.
I don't know... I see a lot of parallels between Seinfeld and The Honeymooners/Flinstones type of humor.

so i guess you missed the joke there eh?

And the never-ending debate about WKRP: Jennifer Marlowe or Baily Quarters?

I'm still sticking with Baily Quarters. I never saw what the big hype was over Jennifer.

Three's company. It makes me laugh no matter what mood I am in. I have the collection of all episodes. All my K. girls love it too and they said it is easy to understand even with their weak English

Really? I never found it funny. The only funny parts concerned the landlords Mr. and Mrs. Roper.

Don't know about sitcoms, but the greatest TV show in the history of TV shows was "Lost". There will never be anything like that ever again. ;)

I would have a tie between "All in the Family" and "Seinfeld", two shows at opposite ends of the spectrum, one show dealt with "controversial social and political issues" while the other was a show about "nothing".

North of GTA
Fernwood 2-Nite with Martin Mull was hilarious. I wish I could find that on DVD. Later became America 2-Nite.

Police Squad was brilliant but the humour in it was too advanced because it made people think and people didn't want to use their brain for a half hour sit-com. Those were the words of critics on the reason for the failure of the show. I have every episode and watch them at least a few times a year!

Venus Flytrap did not say it. Johnny Fever said, "WKRP in Cincinnati, where we have more music and Les Nessman!"

For sheer comic brilliance the funniest show in history has to be the first season of Mork & Mindy but unfortunately the magic did not last.
Honeymooners lasted on 39 episodes but every one of them are classics, especially the one with Ralph as the game show contestant.

My favourite 3 runner-ups are.... 1. Three's Company
2. Beverly Hillbillies
3. Cheers and Frasier

and the winner of the greatest sit-com in history is.... The Simpsons, no question and no debate!!!!
