It sounds like a good name for a TV show about golf.

What better place to start than at the Masters, a sure sign of spring. We have some storylines.

Rahm is 3 behind the loathed (by me, anyways) dickhead Brooks Koepka but he's played only 27 holes as opposed to BK's 36, plus he'll have to play it, most likely, in poor weather. Mud balls etc. to deal with.

We have an amateur, Sam Bennet, one stroke away of a final pairing.

Will Tiger make the cut?

I don't think you are alone in your loathing of Brooks (Dickhead) Koepka. I really hope he doesn't win the Green jacket.

I realize it is very unlikely but it would be amazing to see the amateur, Sam Bennett, win. That would be very fitting on a course and tournament founded by one of the most famous amateur golfers of all time - Bobby Jones.

Not only do you have dickhead Koepka, but you have uber dickhead Greg Norman, ceo of LIV ,who is dying to rub it in the face of the PGA if Koepka wins.

Hopefully Rahm can put together a solid 18 holes and beat Koepka.
Viktor Hovland had an incredible run of 5 straight birdies over his finishing nine holes - maybe he can come from 3 behind to put on the green jacket.

Anything to avoid a LIV golf celebration on the 18th green.

I love watching the British Open because I love watching these guys get the shit kicked out of them. In the first couple of rounds especially, they are not battling each other, they are battling the elements. These guys are not used to adversity. Rory and Bryson were the last two at the US open. This year Rory was 13 over and Bryson was, I think. 8 over. Both missed the cut. Niemann took an 8 on a par 3. Shane Lowry leads at 7 under. Cory Connors, I think is 7th at 1 under and Mack Hughes is also lurking at 1 over, around 13th. And I think that they're calling for rain tomorrow.

I posted in this thread because, this is not "golf insanity". It is simply traditional links golf.

Schauffele is not the best at anything other than being the most consistent at everything.

It was a good victory. He seems like a fine young man.

The Open sees more dramatic swings than any major. Disaster lurks at several holes.
Shane Lowry was -8 after the 4th hole on Saturday. He ended the day at -1. He didnt recover.
Xander Schauffele was -3 after the 5th hole yesterday. He blazed -6 the rest of the way to seal the tournament and capture his second major this year.
Before this year, Xander was known as a choker at the majors. Now he cant stop winning them at the age of 30

On the broadcast they said he held the title of "best player to have never won a major" before this year. I wonder who takes over that title now.
