The list for the Best Picture Oscar is horrible and boring at the same time. Meanwhile Kong vs Zilla has set a record for box-office during a pandemic generating $60 million in revenue. Wonder Woman 84 was supposed to generate that tally but wound being too woke and rejected. Don't believe the hype.

Critics wanted Wonder Woman 84 to break the contagion and malaise and get people back to theaters. They praised to the skies and it BOMBED. The first film worked, no overt political message and they focused on Gal Gadot's charisma - not her threadbare acting. The only person who told the truth about the second film was The Critical Drinker.

Even pre-COVID the last movie I had been to see in a theatre was My Friend Dahmer.

lol Didn't know there was such a film, had to look it up. Amazing it came out in 2017.

Theaters are not dead yet, Kong vs Zilla has racked up $350 million globally, I wonder if that includes the $72 million in North America? My favorite is still the 1963 Tojo version. Kong was so drunk, I'm surprised he got sober enough to fight the big lizard.

I definitely recommend it though I thought the graphic novel it was based on was much better.

I'm not sure I would be into that. In Hannibal, the very bloody sequel to Silence of the Lambs, poor Giancarlo Giannini got the Pazzi treatment then the mutilated Gary Oldman got eaten by pigs. I probably shouldn't be surprised that Dino Di Laurentiis produced it, it was set in Florence.

Gary Oldman is unrecognizable as Mason Verger, who wants to serve Mr. Lecter a cold dish. It's more of a horror film than the first film.

Directed by Ridley Scott.

Honestly, it's not that gory. It's more of a look into what made him into a killer. The whole plot is basically, "The warning signs were there but no one spotted them".

The trailer to Shang-Chi has dropped, supposedly it begins as a sequel to Iron Man III. I'll be watching this in the theater in support of Simu...more so now that Kim's Convenience has been cancelled.

Tony Leung is The Mandarin, he gained fame with Infernal Affairs. Martin Scorsese remade the film as The departed. Michelle Yeoh is also in the film but her role has not been revealed.

Of course the trailer will be reviewed to shits.

I'm hoping that the film does well, so that Netflix will pick up the final season of Kim's Convenience. A pox on the producer's new show.

What happened to The Janet Show?

Sexy Sarah Shahi is a hard working talented actor, she's built up an impressive resume with 64 credits and several hits shows. What I didn't know about her is that she started out as a Dallas Cowgirl.

Sarah's plate is still full, she'll be appearing in Rocco's Marvel film Black Adam with her City on the Hill co-star Aldus Hodge. Considering she grew up in Texas, her Boston accent is impressive. Other shows she's had a recurring role in: Alias, The L Word, Person of Interest, Chicago Fire and The Rookie. She's also fronting her own show called Sex/Life, not sure who's airing that one. City on the Hill is carried by Showtime.

And she throws a better first pitch than Da Booey...lucky prick!

Rocco's career nearly got derailed before it got started, I was there at Skydome when it happened. Rocco was supposed to work a feud with Ken Shamrock. He was inexperienced and Shamrock hadn't figured out the difference between UFC and WWE. He sold nothing and Rocco ended up taking a brutal beating.

Rocco became a legend when he stuffed Vince McMahon face up Rikishi's colon.

With his clout among nerds born after 1980, expect this to be analyzed to death.

This will be Andy Serkis's first official writing credit, before this he wrote for video games.

Ok, the trailer has been out for less that an hour and there are already 20 reaction videos....forget World War Z, it's World War Nerd.

Did she just have an orgasm?

Hardy - Serkis: As the great Peter Falk once said, "I don't care how talented they are, any two schleppers will do".

First mash up.

Will "woke garbage" finally crest?

101 Dalmatians was one of the first films I saw when my family moved to Toronto. I'll re-watch The Favorite instead and leave this to The Critical Drinker.

There might be hope for humanity, the film got slaughtered at the box-office by John Karinski's sequel to A Quiet Place.

John Karinski's smug Jim Halpern annoyed me to tears in The Office...Dwight Schrute was the best.

I'm assuming they wrote him to be the character you love to hate.
