Will you watch Christopher Nolan's Tenet in a theater?

Venom says, "I'm happy to eat Sissy Batman".

What's coming in the fall is better than what available this summer. I nearly left out the most important part. NO TIME TO DIE.

James Bond in Matera, that's pure genius. If this is Daniel Craig's last 007, it's the best possible send-off.

"I'm happy to eat Ana de Armas...Yummy!"

Last Night in Soho will be Thomasin McEnzie's second German centric film.

John McEnroe: Mere words cannot express how much I miss David Bowie.

Kevin Spacey got his first film role in four years, that may be controversial but nothing was proven. If Mel Gibson is allowed to keep working, why can't he. He's in an Italian film called The Man who drew God, directed by Franco Nero.

Which brings me to something sad. After his brilliant portrayal as the stoic and closeted Officer Julien Lowe in The Shield, I fully expected Michael Jace to be in crazy demand. He really nailed the part, the character was fascinating. Instead he does something stupid.

Michael Jace's story defies any sort of logic.

Before he played Julien Lowe in The Shield, he had film roles in Remember The Titans, Forrest Gump and Boogie Nights. He was becoming a premiere character actor - ten he goes OJ with a gun.

He couldn't handle the prospect of divorce so he shot his wife twice in front of their children. A real monster, he leaves traumatized orphans in his wake. He confessed and showed remorse which is probably why he got 2nd degree murder. He will spend 40 years of his life in prison without parole.

For a brief while YT was in the scripted productions business. They decided it wasn't for them, selling their output (including Cobra Kai) to Netflix. What they have done in return, they have gained the licenses from the studios to screen older films. The best part is you don't need a subscription to watch them, just a nominal fee and the film is yours for 48 hrs. I recently re-watched Orson Welles Masterpiece Touch of Evil and John Wayne's She Wore a yellow Ribbon on YT. I will be watching Klaus Brandauer's Mephisto, before Edgar Wright/ The Phenom's Last Night in Soho comes out

Speaking of The Phenom, she is officially "In da Club", she dating her Peaky Blinders co-star Finn Cole.

The theater industry is hoping September will bring them back to health. Three major releases in one month. It begins with Shang Chi.

El Camino, the Breaking Bad film, is fantastic. I thought it was good the first time I watched it, it blew me away the second time.

That's the benchmark that Newark is facing, will it be as good as El Camino. The Night Of...and Green Book proved that there is still a demand for Sopranos fare.

Guilllermo Del Toro still doesn't have a trailer for his film noir Nightmare Alley. He has said that there are no supernatural elements in the film. It's a remake of the 1947 classic.

Hacks avoid Film Noir like the plague.

So what caused The Tomorrow War to become a huge bomb for Amazon Prime? Is it Jeff Bezos greed and hubris or Chris Pratt becoming a religious wingnut?

The film cost $220 million to make, they've been advertising the crap out of it, yet the film has no buzz and hasn't even registered in theaters. Does Bezos actually believe he can make money by keeping the film in stream only.

Jeff Bezos will one day own Planet Earth, we'll all be paying rent to him.

Viggo Mortensen is part owner of the original trilogy, I liked the first film enough but the second and third bored me to tears. Now Bezos wants his own Game of Thrones, a series that's not ageing well. I hope Kristen Stewart is involved.

This flick is a blast - should give it a chance if you haven't. I think Amazon screwed over promoting it but it was a fun blockbuster summer sci-fi flick. I wonder if they spent so much getting it for streaming only and it couldn't possibly make its money back without a theatrical launch? Financials behind stream only launches are so hard to read...

Amazon made the mistake of launching it exclusively on their platform, it didn't work out. Hulu made Judas and The Black Messiah available on several platforms including Apple Tv, and Prime. It's been well received.

HBO has another proprietary hit in No Sudden Move. It's partially based on an historical event. Two small time thiefs (Benicio del Toro, Don Cheadle) are sent to do a simple job that turns out to be the crime of the century. Great ensemble cast.

Featuring the legendary Billy Duke. Both entertaining and informative 8/10.

Good thing Bezos owns the planet, he has to eat $220 million on The Tomorrow War. At the same time Marvel hits the jackpot as Black Widow grossed $80 million at the North American box-office. So much for the death of theaters, cable TV is the one going the way of the Dodo. I'll probably see it, I like the idea of ScarJo and Flower as sisters. Yet The Critical Drinker's comments give me pause.

ScarJo has a nice body but she doesn't have the personality to headline a movie.
Maybe I'll see the clip above. I would not be surprised if they fucked it up even further.

ScarJo is shrewd, she gets actors to work with her that will make her look strong. Flower is awesome, she played Lady MacBeth at 20....even the Spanish Inquisition genuflect in her presence.
