Actually we are basically in agreement. People see high prices and assume they will continue even though inflation is back down to normal levels. Even if 5% was correct, AND it was something that necessitated the government borrowing money to fix, the mounts suggested, a temp GST cut on a few items would do nothing.

That I was slagging TrueDooh and the typical voter view is hinted at not very subtlety here.

I don't think her degree is a full economics degree. Its International Relations with a minor in Economics. She may be book smart but she's real world dumb.

Yeah but that doesn't change my point. Liberal collapse isn't take down NDP support which was the claim I was making.

If the NDP had any brains they would disband and mostly join the liberals so they can keep in power and continue running their bad ideas.

To be fair there is always some buttfuckery going on. Lincoln was faced with rebuilding a divided nation and took time to go to the theater for some R&R, and I am sure nothing bad came of it.
It's a bunch of ass hats doing a riot in Montreal, it isn't a zombie invasion, it isn't as if there is a Justin Beiber concert going on and they are serving pineapple on pizza, or a cat going without treats.

And as others have pointed out, riots are not a federal responsibility, unless they perhaps impact ports and border crossings or if it gets completely out of control. If the feds cracked down every single time a protest got out of hand, the same people complaining would be bitching about federal power overreach.

Hamas sucks, their supporters suck, TrueDooh sucks, and none of them have the decency of swallow or play with the balls, but perspective people.

I would tend to agree.
However, the NDP have spent the last decade propping up the Liberals. They are joined like symbiont hemorrhoids on a rectum.
If one gets shrunken by Conservative ointment, the other will inevitably be shrunken as well.
