In Canada the formal youth organizations tend to be in universities. That is a different situation as it generally involves people old enough to vote. I think they can be as young as 14 but as far as I know the vast majority of clubs are in universities. Although I remember the PC club at the university I went to organizing a bowling night once, I don't think any have summer camps, etc. As I say, I think any party in Canada that tried to attract kids that way would get a lot of bad publicity.
BTW, I think Harper was actually a member of the Young Liberals. Perhaps that has something to do with him wanting to get rid of the conservative version. hmm ....

I will give you the benefit of doubt, but: "This youth camp is similar to hitlerjugend, indoctrination in marxism and multiculturism" was exactly the reason that Breivik wanted to eradicate these indoctrinated young people. I trust you do not want to be taken as a supporter.
PS: Few of the victims were 14 years old. most were 18 or 19.

The Hitler Youth didn't support either Marxism or multiculturalism. They supported fascism and nationalism.
Now, how can someone believes in universal human rights, therefore equality for Palestinians and the concomitant right to their land and property be a follower of Breivik? More likely someone who justifies the blockade of a people based on their ethnicity would be termed a follower. Someone like you. Breivik supported what Israel does to the Palestinians...just like you.

I suspect it was for the very reason you said most people in North American recognize the term "Hitler Youth" but do not recognize "Komsomol."
Perhaps I am entirely wrong, but I rather doubt Mr. Beck gave a moment's thought to the German occupation of Norway.

Further, you validly may say that the statement was unfeeling in a Norwegian context, but I certainly didn't hear him say that the victims deserved it, certainly not in the quotation in this thread.
