She's hanging out in the wrong places... and what I find downtown is most people there try to one up the other boys and girls... better outfit, more expensive handbags etc etc... well i'm speaking based on my own opinion... this hobby gets me to cut in line and avoid the social interaction and straight to the goods.... if I wanna hang out. I'd stay at the casinos and low key bars....

And about her thoughts on Men not approaching Women, That's all on women.

Women have turned approaching them into borderline sexual harassment or feeling like an audition for American Idol. What man wants to go through that?

To all you young people out there, Toronto was the number one city for the Rock & Roll bar scene in the late 50s to the late 60s. Also, young guys had the choice of many weekend dance clubs which were full of young gorgeous girls, great music and cheap booze, Usually left the club with a new girl every time. Ah, those were the days. LOL.
I’m hearing a lot about that “after the pill but before aids” era. Apparently owing a guitar was enough to bag a new girl every week.

She is bang fucking on. And this was the case 20 fucking years ago when I was younger and was hanging out in Toronto with friends.
Toronto is a stuck up city. The residents are stuck up. The local politicians are stuck up. Everything about Toronto is stuck up. And I don't know why.

Toronto seems to think of itself as some World class city, at the top of the list, when in fact it is a joke, and has been for decades.
It's public transit is a joke. It has 2 and a half subway lines that close nightly, and can't even seem to keep running without closures when they are open.
It is insular and actively discourages people from outside of the city to come in for social events, due to lack of parking, and exorbitant Go train fees.

And people are in general unfriendly.
World class city my ass.

Toronto Sucks.

I resided the longest in Montreal and Toronto. If I was looking for pussy, I would pick Montreal. If I was looking for money, I would pick Toronto.

When living in a new-to-you city or town, your opinion of it will be entirely related to whether or not you meet some good people there. Generally, you need to put yourself out there to do that. if you don't, yeah, it will be lonely.

Lotsa truth right here. I used to hang out in TO in the seventies and early `80`s, no comparison to the city now. I lived in Rexdale, Thistletown, North York, Scarborough and Don Mills, probably a dozen or so good homes, all the places are now pretty sketchy, no way I`d live there now. If Toronto always wanted to be a "world class city", I`d say mission over. Crime at all levels, congestion, cost of living, insulated and isolated communities, poverty and homelessness, rampant drug use, unchecked mentally ill roaming the streets. I can`t vouch for people being cold and aloof with a get the fuck away from me attitude but with everything else added up it probably is. Never used to be in the years I recall. I left the GTA about 40 years ago, you could feel a building and impending sense of something really not good coming as it grew. If you have never known what Toronto was,... you can`t understand the difference a few decades made. It was TO the good, really sad to watch what it has become.

I`d add a nice motorcycle and a bag of weed too,...no problem. The `70`s were magic too.

I don't put much stock in anything from someone who says ''like'' at the start of every sentence.
That would basically be every person under the age of 30. I even find myself saying it more than I would like (no pun intended)

I think there is some merit to what she is saying. Its not an easy place to move to and make friends. People generally keep to themselves. Even before covid, but more so after.
In my opinion the city lacks character and soul. Downtown and lakefront is absolutely a concrete jungle which gives you a feeling of claustrophobia. Urban planning has been poorly done.

In the late 60's, if I guy wanted a three-way, he just had to hold up his hand with his index and middle fingers forming a 'V', as if he was ordering a couple of drafts in a tavern, and two hippy chicks would be sucking his dick before the joint made it back to him.
