Sadly, the only strategy the Dems have is hoping they can smear Trump enough. No substance they can offer as far as a platform, policies, etc.
And here's why...
If they stick with Biden's trajectory as far as policies, people have seen it fall apart over the last 4 years and don't want another 4 years of of that.
If they come up with new policies, people will say WTF? You stage a coup and shove aside Biden and now want to reverse what they were trying to get people to support a month ago?
So this is why the only thing they have left is to have Kamala preach about feel good sentiments to hide the fact they have no platform.
ie why put forward a sketchy platform when you can use photo ops at record stores to show you like black artists?
I actually think Kamala has gotten bolder with her policy pronouncements. I just don't agree with her Government First approach to solving problems like inflation and housing.

For sure the campaigns pay close attention to the polls, and accordingly structure their various platforms that are designed to attract certain crucial sections of the population.
Strangely, Newsweek seems to be running overly-dramatic and conflicting headlines on polls every day. I don't think there is much real journalism being done there, but people still remember the name.

There have been several studies that show Fox News viewers are significantly less informed than those who get other sources of information. In 2008, there was a study that showed something like 80% of them believed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, something we know was never found and untrue. But, things with Fox have gotten measurably worse since then, so much so that a crazy number of their viewers still believe the 2020 election was stolen, even though there are no credible facts showing this.
I would love to see a credible study showing how lefties are that ill-informed or gullible.
