`The Party`, (1969), staring Peter Sellers as a clumsy, incompetent East Indian actor, who by accident, gets invited to an upscale Hollywood party. What happens next is priceless! Never laughed so hard in my life when I first watched it way back when as a kid.
Loved Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther movies. Very very funny...

This movie would never be made today, but I agree with you.

My God you must be old...
Not at all.

I find classic movies to be well ..... just classic.

There is a wealth of knowledge, history, value and entertainment to be gained from watching and enjoying movies from producers, writers, directors, actors and the like, from an age and time that is no longer a part of our lived experiences.

They were from a time that is past, a time a place and a generation that no longer exists except in the vision, the sounds, the words and the images they have left us to experience through their classic films.

And what we learn most from these films is that they, they who no longer exist are us, then, today and tomorrow.

Where's Poppa. A Carl Reiner movie with George Segal and Ruth Gordon.

There's too many funny movies to limit it to 2 choices
I was thinking same thing
Best comedy these days is way too large a category as things like dark humour brush up against slapstick
It also questions "what" is comedy (eg does a movie so bad its funny qualify?)

Spaceballs and UHF still make me laugh despite the obviousness

I know I reference where's Poppa before, but here's the trailer as it is a somewhat obscure film.
