It depends on the time/era you watch it in... Ace Ventura, Something About Mary and Wedding Crashers all had me spraying Diet Coke out of my nose while at the theatre.

Sacha Baron Cohen is as close to Peter Sellers as any comic actor comes. Unlike Sellers, he doesn't suffer from severe social anxiety, like Sellers he's taken on dramatic roles. He was excellent in Martin Scorsese's under-rated fantasy Hugo. And will next be in The Trial of the Chicago 7, he plays Abbie Hoffman. It was released on Friday by Netflix.
My all-time favourite! A lot of people don't know that it was largely improvised. Comedic genius!

Some Like it Hot is one of my favorite films, the scene where Marylin Monroe plays footsie with Jack Lemon, his feat were cold, never gets old. She was a far better comedienne than she was given credit for.

Loved Peter Sellers. Dr. Strangelove...he was supposed to play 4 parts Air Force Major T. J. "King" Kong, Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, President Merkin Muffley and Dr. Strangelove.
He didn't do T J King Kong because he wasn't sure he could nail the Texas accent.

The Dr.Strangelove character was allegedly based on SS rocket scientist turned NASA engineer Wernher von Braun. If you look at pix of Braun it is striking how much he resembles Sellers in the film, especially the hairstyle.
And yes Sellers is brilliant in the role and it easily overshadows his other 2 parts in the film. It is also comedy gold...apparently some of his scenes had to be editted because one of the actors playing a Russian couldn't stop laughing at Sellers' portrayal.
