Honey buns, there are still investigations ongoing and this chapter has not shut, though a certain Barr has done an interim job of trying to do so!!
No collusion. No obstruction of justice. No impeachment.

Have a nice day, sweetie

He will not survive all these investigations in the works.
FINALLY! Truly, absolutely this MUST be the beginning of the end!! What are we up to now, about 78,463 of these? Can your imagination possibly think of any more?

The report says that the Russians stopped any compromising tapes of Trump from becoming public while in negotiations for the Moscow Trump tower project.
Than they said the tapes never existed.

So that means you'll have to rely on Trump's Russian connections to get them now.
IE, FF means "we got nuthin, never had nuthin, but we'll keep throwing out rumors and pass them off as facts."

Attempted obstruction of justice is not obstruction of justice. Just like attempted murder is not murder. Furthermore, attempted obstruction of justice in this case would be very hard, if not impossible, to prove. Which is why no reasonable prosecutor would go there.
For the factually challenged among us:

Definition of obstruction of justice:

18 U.S.C. § 1503 defines "obstruction of justice" as an act that "corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice."

Codified U.S. law states that an "endeavour" to obstruct justice is considered an obstruction of justice. There is NO argument otherwise. It's quite plain, simple and factual.

Mueller lists 10 endeavours by Trump to obstruct justice. All 10 endeavours failed because Trump's orders were rightfully not acted upon by his underlings because 'they' knew the legal consequences they would face had they acted upon Trump's orders. And as U.S. codified law states, an endeavour, just one endeavour to obstruct justice is obstruction of justice according to U.S. law.

These are the facts which would be a cakewalk to prove in court.

Indictments are awaiting once Trump is booted out the front door of the WH.

What have we learned after 2 yrs of investigation at a cost of 25 million? That Trump was innocent. There was no collusion between Trump and the Russians. He was telling the truth.
This investigation is necessary and costs associated with it is irrelevant. The Clinton investigation cost around $70 Million, and took 6 years.

What stands out to me is we have the liberals who put all their eggs in a collusion basket they tried to concoct. Didn't work out well, for 2 years they harangued and deliberately fought anything Trump did based mostly on the fact they did not like him. Yes, he is eminently unlikable but it was the liberals inability to present a decent candidate who could defeat him that created the whole mess.

So for more than two years the liberals opposed anything Trump did rather than expend an ounce of energy to do anything that would benefit the country. Now the report has been unable to prove this concocted story the liberals tried to put forth yet they still waste their energy trying to find something, anything to defeat Trump. Nothing done to benefit the country, all efforts fighting the country's duly elected leader.

While I concede it would be a tough for anyone to imagine, what if the liberals actually had spent the past 2 years working to improve the country rather than fight the leader they could not defeat in an election? As hard as it is to put up with the pompous asshole Trump, working to better the country instead of constantly attacking him and anything he does could have lots of benefit. First, if he wasn't expending energy baiting the liberals with his twitter rants perhaps he would be in a better mood and would act more presidentially. That may be a stretch because he genuinely seems to enjoy baiting liberals. But the general mood in Washington would likely improve.

If liberals weren't focused on trying (and failing miserably) on destroying Trump, perhaps they could find a candidate who could defeat Trump in 2020. One who demonstrated leadership skills by working with an unlikable Trump to help promote policies that help the US.

If the liberals had any brains they would change course and stop what they have been failing at since Trump won the election. Maybe the Wizard of OZ could help them find a brain? It is sad to watch the liberals keep shooting themselves in the foot. While there is some satisfaction in watching the liberals squirm, it would be welcome to have them put up some sort of real competition. It would make the Cons work harder as well and the country would be the winner for it. We can only dream ........

Give it time.
tick tock, tick tock. More than 2 years isn't enough? Libs couldn't even set him up to try to prove the last set of lies, nothing on the horizon makes it seem likely they got any smarter. We are running out of beginnings of the end. Time to find a new tactic, one which may even benefit the country instead of trying to divide it as the libs have been doing.

You must be out of touch with reality if you think I just cherry picked from a report that made a certain President look like a saint!!
Kathleen posted the entire quote.

Context is what's important. Trump long ago recognized that a special counsel appointment is a giant cloud over any President's tenure.

Given enough time, if I really felt like it, I could parse through all your comments and paint you as a racist, a misogynist and a fascist.

What has been lost over the last few years is the idea that context is everything. Whether in the media or on message boards.

Step back from the politics section, take a deep breathe, unlock your caps lock button and try to look at things through a broader perspective.

Since taking the house, name one thing the Democrats have done and passed in their first 100 days. Are they trying to give away the election in 2020?
Every one of your posts contain little to no facts, you spew your opinions as the gospel, try stating facts rather than your opinion.
As for 2020 election Trump has been campaigning since day 1 he took the office of the presidency, yet he lost the house in the midterms. People are already sick and tired of all that are associated with Trump and all of his antics, this will show in the general election in 2020 as it did in the midterms. He is the least supported president in the history and his approval ratings show that, his approval rating amongst registered voters this past week was between 39-48% in different polls so he is probably somewhere right in the middle probably around 45%.

As for the comment regarding Democrats passing one thing in the House. Here is not one but 103 things that have passed the house.

Incorrect once again.

18 U.S.C. § 1503 defines "obstruction of justice" as an act that "corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice."

Someone obstructs justice when that person has a specific intent to obstruct or interfere with a judicial proceeding. For a person to be convicted of obstructing justice, that person must not only have the specific intent to obstruct the proceeding, but that person must know (1) that a proceeding was actually pending at the time; and (2) there must be a connection between the endeavor to obstruct justice and the proceeding, and the person must have knowledge of this connection.

§ 1503 applies only to federal judicial proceedings. Under 18 U.S.C. § 1505, however, a defendant can be convicted of obstruction of justice by obstructing a pending proceeding before Congress or a federal administrative agency. A pending proceeding could include an informal investigation by an executive agency

Codified U.S. law states that an "endeavour" to obstruct justice is considered an obstruction of justice.

Nice find WG
Trump and Cohen think the tapes are real enough to communicate about them.
And then the Russian changes his story and says they aren't real.

Of course you believe that.
Even if it turns out that the tapes aren't real it shows that Steele was totally correct that Trump was worried enough about Russians having the piss tape or something else on him that he specifically tried to stop it getting out.
Why would Trump even that it possible that they had dirt, if none of the acts happened?

The Mueller report proves Steele's Piss Dossier was correct.

If the Intel Agencies analyzed all the evidence and shared their evidence with the Presidents and the Congress, then it was necessary to definitely conduct such an investigation. There were investigations that were conducted under different Presidents in the past, Benghazi, and the Clinton email investigations being the most recent. It is nothing new, but for a president to then try and terminate them and use terminology indicated, is evidence of an obstruction of Justice.

Obviously, if I am an alt right winger, then it is expected of you to come up with the racist, misogynist and fascist allegations against me. I guess I have to be on the same page with your idols like David Duke etc. to meet your criteria. See how ridiculous you sound!!

If you have not seen the number of times that Trump has tried to obstruct Justice in the Mueller report then obviously you are not looking at the broad context of what the report is all about. Maybe you will take a deep breath and wait for further investigations to come to it's conclusions before blowing your horn!!

By the way I highly respect Kathleen although our politics are at different sides of the spectrum, and we agree to disagree. She is a highly pragmatic person in her debates that does not attack an individual in Post no 1. So learn from her posts!!
