Next week Ford is set to make some announcement about accelerating the reopening.
So with your high intelligence you’re saying no businesses were destroyed?
Head. Deeply. In.The. Sand. (Or. Just. Plain. Stupid.).

'' What is known, however, is the cost: Government-imposed lockdowns spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic have proved to be one of the most expensive single events in human history. In Canada alone, the first year of the pandemic yielded a $343 billion federal deficit driven largely by payments to workers unemployed by government-mandated closures of gyms, restaurants and other public spaces. Premier Doug Ford said on Friday that Ontario's COVID-19 restrictions could soon come to an end. This news follows speculation about whether Ontario would follow the move of other provinces in speeding up the relaxing of restrictions.

During a press conference on Friday, Ford spoke about his government's plan to end lockdown measures, including the vaccine passport, but did not provide a specific timeline.

"Today, we're on track to very soon remove almost all restrictions for businesses as a part of our reopening plan," the premier said. "And we heard from Dr. Moore last week and again yesterday that he is now working on a plan that will allow us to remove the vaccine passport system."

Debating with close minded people is futile.
I refuse to debate with anyone that thinks no businesses were affected by the lockdowns.
I never said that. I did say that truckers are affecting many people's incomes and businesses.

If you can't acknowledge that, then it clearly is you who is close-minded.

Will you acknowledge that the protests are causing monetary harm?

Some day this COVID will inevitably ease and things will become close to where they were before it started. It's not because the minority anti-vaxers caused it. The victory is because of those who did rollup their sleeves to fight the spread. The only effect anti-vaxer contributed was to the length of the lockdown and countless thousands of people who were denied access to hospitals because society chose to help morons incapable of helping themselves.

We had a Darin moment when the mentally challenged should have been allowed to be purged - the QR code could have been used to leave them out of hospitals and the medical facilities that they mocked. My fear is that another more serious disease will arrive (eg small pox, polio, - both virtually eliminated by vaccines) and the mental malignancy allowed to live will cause thousands of innocent people to die in the future .

My speculation is that by mid March the mandates will be removed, provided the trajectory on infections continues downward. Not sure about masks though. I can't wait til the day I can burn the rest of my masks.

Because it was going to happen anyways. I’m glad they are going but it is not because of truckers.

Yea, I know.......
The convoy also made the sun go down last night and come back up this morning. It made NFL football's current season end last night. It will make taxes due in a few weeks, will lead to spring in a couple of months and summer after that.
The protests will lead to flowers blooming, green grass, kids playing soccer and baseball and jumping in pools, kids getting summers off school.......

Tell me, what other obvious inevitiabilities do you want to give credit to the convoy?

Truckers definitely helped in adding pressure to lift mandates sooner.

Trudeau will cave next

GTFO, they had no influence. In case you hadn't noticed this was beginning to happen in other nations and was already coming to Canada as one of the most vaccinated nations.
All the protests deserve credit for is lucky timing.
