Breaking !!! Messi is going to Inter Miami , Beckham must be happy

At least he won’t have to take instructions from Phil Neville now.

Yes and Apple TV! I am sure Apple is behind the financial deal as well.

Miami will not play in Montreal until 2024. If they play in Toronto later this year I am jumping on a flight!

Surprise, since he recently went to Saudi Arabia on assumption to conclude a deal. He doesnt need the money so looks like restrictions on females in Saudi Arabia became a deal breaker. Good to see a high profile athlete thump his nose at the murderous traitors
Messi's and his wife have a house in Miami for a few years now. Messi's wife is from Argentina. And you don't mess up with Latino's wife. They have strong character, to say the least ;) I am sure it played along as his wife did not want to mess up with the saudi's who treat women like shit.

Italy into the finals of the U20 World Cup, some solace for what has been a depressing Serie A week.

What happened to Brazil, they didn't get off to a good start

That was a tough game with the Koreans. Koreans and Japanese are always tough. This kid Zanotti got a yellow card, should've gotten a red card all day long. He kept grabbing the Koreans shirts continually I'm surprised the referee let him get away with it so much.

Uruguay managed to win against Israel. Uruguay is a very small country but like Croatia they have great soccer players. Its going to be tough.

Tomorrow of course

Man City makes it a double for the English Premier League Teams. Finally Pep deserves this trophy along with the FA cup and the Premier Division title.
Deserved 1-0 win. While Inter looked the better side in the first half, Man City dominated the second half.

Beautiful sog by Rodri but Ederson won this game for MC with his 2 great saves.
Pep is one of the best coaches on Earth right now with his style of football.

That goal by Rodri was sublime, a very precise drive past the two Inter defenders. Yes, Ederson redeemed himself after a couple of howlers that could have cost City big.
But those two spectacular saves plus one by Lukaku himself :) ensured a big win for Man City.

Irish malatesta predicted a massacre for ManCity.

Inter played very well, they disrupted City big time. They have nothing to be ashamed of. They blocked Grealish, Haaland barely touched the ball and De Bruyne was out early.

According to the broadcasters, Inter are a shithole club, it was so bad I muted the sound. They're probably right, Inter has 1/20 the purchasing power of ManCity, that allows the Manchester club to buy the players they need without risk of hijack. Something needs to change, Serie A can't lurch on from crisis to crisis. Inter played their hearts out but they ate their chances. I'm beginning to favour a Super League, just to break the power of the blood soaked fiefdom clubs.

Hopefully the U20 Azzurrini can get it done against Uruguay.

Congratulations to Pep, the best coach on earth. My hat off to him. His system makes it possible for any player to score, which is why City won despite a lackluster effort from Haaland 👏

Pretty much what I expected, league results and performance become irrelevant history
when 2 tenacious and determined teams clash in a final.

This. Pep's system won the treble. KVD was out early, Haaland had one sog from a tight angle.

MC were rattled but their system creates chance after chance for the right man in the right place to attempt a sog.
Credit to Rodri though, his shot bent perfectly around 2 defenders, Onana could not have seen the ball's trajectory.

There was an attempt last Season to create a Super League. Glad that the hue and cry from supporters and sponsors put it to rest.
The present setup with three tiers of European Competition is an almost perfect alternative to a Super League. But, more and more clubs in the English Premier Division will be purchased by these Middle Eastern Oil Rich oligarchs in the new future. This should change the dynamics with clubs like Newcastle, and now the imminent purchase of Man United by Sheikh Jassim will mean more players being attracted to the EPL.

Glad that idea was shot down, such a league would kill other leagues and maybe football elsewhere,
money and top players will be siphoned into such a league.

The idea of a Super League isn't dead yet.

The Gulf oligarchs have broken the transfer market, 80% of football clubs are in the red. Not getting into the CL, Roma face a hard summer, they are shackled by FFP rules. Gerry Cardinale fired Paolo Maldini, attempting to compete with fiefdom clubs for players would put him in the deep red. Eventually the EPL will go the way of the PGA, if that happens Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will also become fringe clubs. What stopped the Super League in the first place was PSG, who didn't go along.

It's an improvement, owning the EPL is better than financing flying planes into buildings.
