He did say Kathleen that he met with the Black congress at the White House by why is it he couldn't say who? We are in the year of 2004 and slavery has been abolished for many decades now, So for me and other Black American citizens watching an instant ringer went off in my head as I thought "Who did he see? What is his or her name?" to me it's not credable enough to say he did see someone but didn't say who.Kathleen said:Four more years....
Four more years....
Agree or not, is has a ring to it. Good debate. I would see it 2-1 for Kerry. I was watching on and off between innings of the ball game.
I still feel Kerry, though the better pick with the US finances, lacks the grit for national safety. Kerry showed a ton of class toward Bush with the compliment about post 911. I also liked seeing Kerry show a sense of humor.
Bush, I feel lost at the debate, he seemed nervous at times. I feel it bad, but not huge Kerry suggested Bush never met with the Black congress when in fact he had twice.
Bush to me is still the better choice, and will make up ground through campaign. It will be a close race, no question.

Yes that was Depp Don. Johnny Depp did leave America and lives in Europe (I can't remember where though) with his wife and daughter and has been for the last 3 few years or so. Madonna as well lives in Europe with her husband and children and has been for years. Tori Amos lives in England with her husband and daughter and has been for years. There are quite a few American celebrities that live abroad (can't remember all of them) but have a home/homes in the U.S for when they are working/touring in the States.Don said:Come on DQ. I'm starting to get tired of that comment. If I had a buck for every American I know who said that since 2000 I'd be loaded. And guess what... no one moved.
I remember Eddie Vedder vowed to leave the US if Bush got elected in 2000. What happened? He got as far as Hawaii and was able to deal with his sorrows and come back according to his publicist. Good for him. Johnny Deep was supposed to bail. A few others I can remember but there were a bunch of them. I think one actually did leave to France (wait... was that Depp?)but the rest... well.... I guess they decided to stick it out.
I don't mean to come down on you but just a mini-rant in general. If you do decide to immigrate then I'll be the first to welcome!
Ahhhhhh... thank you Berlin *hugs* And I promise to make America a better country for the American people and viewed as a better country in the face of the rest of the world by making sure that every client that sees an escort & MPA's gets a free lollypop and balloon with each visit.Berlin said:Dang I was out boozing and missed the whole thing. Please tell me the above is not true.
And BTW I voted for Cheetah Girl.
Ahhh, see his father.ham2004 said:Does any one really think a sitting president is going to lose. Bush will win.. not that I want him to but he will
A result even worse than Kerry being elected! Unless of course we could just take Western Canada - now there’s a thought......banshie said:I like the results of our poll better than the ones coming out of the U.S. Sometimes I wish Canada would just join the U.S. Then you would never see a bozo like Bush in the White House again!
You've not heard the race card from the Dems, all you have to do is look at Bush's cabinet to see why.Annessa said:He did say Kathleen that he met with the Black congress at the White House by why is it he couldn't say who? OTB you are sooooo predictable.

Yeah right......I'd rather take Chretien over Bush any day......NOTbanshie said:I like the results of our poll better than the ones coming out of the U.S. Sometimes I wish Canada would just join the U.S. Then you would never see a bozo like Bush in the White House again!

Chretien was a lot of things. some of them negative. But he was no moron, in fact a very savvy politician.langeweile said:Yeah right......I'd rather take Chretien over Bush any day......NOT
You got the nerve to talk about US president, while having a moron like Chretien running Canada.....
I would like to think you are right, but don't count Bush out yet. By any measure, he should lose in November. He should have lost last time. (Well actually he did, but Jeb and friends stole it for him.) He, and the people running his campaign, are masters at the impossible. Ann Richards was supposed to be unbeatable in Texas, but he toppled her.hdog said:It's over. When Republicans come out 2 months before the election and say the war is a disaster, the jobs data is not as good as expected, the CIA blasts you, Bremer says there weren't enough troops deployed in Iraq, Rumsfeld says there was no connection between Hussien and al-Qaeda and Cheney directs people to an anti-Bush site it's not hard to figure out they want Bush out of there. He's done.
Don't try it, if you can't float a sub home during peace time without anyone getting hurt........bbking said:....now where is that bomb making manual

I did like the Bush line that Ted Kennedy was the Conservative Senator from Mass - that point hit home belive me.tompeepin said:Bush did not answer many questions with any substance. He tried to get around quite a few by redirecting and did not make a stand.
Examples:
On jobs he always redirected to education.
On Roe vs Wade he talked about "litmus test". WTF???
Bush liked the distraction he thought he could use with the label "Liberal" and he also said to Kerry "you sit right on the far-left bank." Which just goes to show how far right Bush is by comparison! According to Bush where does Nader sit? Probably to a person who actually is on the far-left bank Kerry would be on the right and Bush on the extreme right. Kerry probably is actually more in the center. The only two meaningful parties in American politics are right and right-center on a global political scale.
I loved Kerry's statement:
"Being lectured by the president on fiscal responsibility is a little bit like Tony Soprano talking to me about law and order in this country. " - True the proof is in the pudding err deficit, jobs and number of those covered by healthcare plans and not excuses and promises, smoke and mirriors. Actually not that Kerry will live up to his claims either; I guess that is politicians for you.
Bush only really scored big when he talked about his faith and about the women in his life (only then did his words sound heart felt). He also did well to smile and laugh and not to scowl. On the other hand the deer in the headlights look did not help much.
