Was also thinking about this, yes should be more difficult but how much I think is difficult to tell. Will be "interesting" no matter what 
Given all the fans who will come from foreign countries to Toronto for the matches here, and even given "safe" sex, I wouldn't want to risk catching something imported from another country during their visits.

I've expressed concern as soccer fans are the horniest. But saw a report that hotel pre-bookings are down from last year for June for some strange reason. So there is hope for us yet

Yep, seems to me you are thinking in the right direction: maybe best to avoid the World Cup period altogether, or somehow reduce appointments! Maybe agencies or independent who require ID verification - maybe the party crowd will find those more "difficult" to use
The reason that pre-bookings are down is likely due to the cost. Try to book a downtown hotel on June 12 and take a look at the prices. I’m an ardent football (soccer fan). I support Barça, a tip for you WC hype & passenger fans: watch out for players like Lamine Yamal & Pedri playing for Spain. Pure talent !
anyway, here’s my contribution to this discussion. as someone that understands European football fan archetypes well, let me tell you, most of these fans are genuine scumbags. So I’m kinda worried for the girls, who are going to get hired by these unruly hooligans. Especially, the Asian shops, they always seem to encourage high volumes. They need to be strategic.

I remember when the world figure skating championships were in London 12 or 13 years ago (a comparatively similar event effect based on size of the cities) and all the working girls were trying to make alternate incall arrangements because the hotels were booking up in advance and the girls were all of a sudden expecting an influx of business. I know a couple of the ladies were renting out their incalls for a premium to other girls for off hours and making a pretty penny off it. They would work the prime daytime hours themselves and then charge a hotel girl hundreds of dollars to use the apartment from say 6pm-6am. Of course, like almost always happens in these type of events that aren't call the Super Bowl, there wasn't really in increase of business. I know I, and a couple other guys I used to chat with, got messages from some SP's seeing if we wanted to come over since it was so dead.
I've been waiting for this to come up... And I think ExMontrealer is on the money with taking a pause in hobbying. I was planning the same as historically there's a spike in a bunch of weird viruses after events like this... more than just STI's too...MPs are definately off the table also. Even Olivia chow is handing out 200k in crappy milasian made condoms i heard on the radio. On a brighter note, several SP's book off TIFF and Caribana for the same reasons, so it might impact civilians more than SPs.

I think hooliganism among sports fans is almost exclusively associated with team sports, and the exceptions would be full contact sports. The feral element among the fervently devoted would generally ignore an 'artistic' sport like figure skating. The 'working boys' of London might have experienced a bit of an uptick.
I take the GO train into the city for my sessions with a couple regulars and I'm not looking forward to the crowds at Union.
CBC interviewed a sports writer who went to the recent Messi match using the GO train (I wish I could remember exactly from where) and he was saying that it was a TOTAL MESS, so expectation is for the World Cup to be MUCH worse. Maybe best to completely avoid match days at least!
