I think she will need some of that cannibis to ease her pain. This has been in the works for a while. CTV was pissed she owned or had shares in a cannabis business on the side. I believe she got involved after using some for pain management.
I've seen her on TV from when she started at CKCO Kitchener, then CTV Kitchener & finally at CTV hq as the international foreign affairs correspondant & then anchor. Solid reporter who won many awards for good reason at various levels.
She'll end up somewhere if she wants too. Bell & Rogers are known for dropping bombs & firing people, especially if super high paying spots. That's life in the fast paced cut throat media.
This is a good idea. If anyone uses just one anchor, the person's head would melt after one non-stop week of reporting the most ridiculous news of the century......CBC uses 4 different anchors to host The National, its flagship news program. I'm surprised CTV didn't go this route. Even Jeopardy had 2 hosts now. Many viewers enjoy variety
CHCH splits the weather with two people on weekdays night time. This is a good idea. If anyone uses just one anchor, the person's head would melt after one non-stop week of reporting the most ridiculous news of the century......
Best to split the ordeal amongst 4 different people.....
Entitled? We are all entitled to our entitlements, except for for montyy. It's about time for these old news anchors step aside and let the younger, more talented, relevant news readers take their places. They should let a bunch cycle through the role instead of seeing the same face year in, year out. Say switch it up every 3 months or something. It will stop the sense of entitlement many if these broadcasters suffer from.
LaFlamme just feels entitled to keep her high paying part time job.
The largest position in my portfolio pays a nice diviBell ------ If we can fire Lisa LaFlamme, just IMAGINE what we can do to you......
How are the younger ones more ''talented''? They would be reading the news from the same teleprompter she was.!This should apply to everything to be honest
She is 58yrs old, with 35yrs of TV news reporting, anchoring. She started right out of school locally. Omar has 15yrs of experience and likely 1/2 or a bit more in pay.How are the younger ones more ''talented''? They would be reading the news from the same teleprompter she was.!
CBC started with 4, down to 3, now going down to 2. Rosemary got the push out to chief political correspondent shortly after startingCBC uses 4 different anchors to host The National, its flagship news program. I'm surprised CTV didn't go this route. Thanks for the update. I missed the Andrew Chang annoucement completely.CBC started with 4, down to 3, now going down to 2. Rosemary got the push out to chief political correspondent shortly after starting
Can't count the weekends
Ian does Fri & Sat
Adrianne & Andrew Mon-Thurs.
Soon Adrianne only Mon-Thurs with Ian still Fri & Sun
Yeah, and the broadcast would take twice as long to accommodate all the "like....like....like"....um....ums".....How are the younger ones more ''talented''? They would be reading the news from the same teleprompter she was.!
You've obviously never flown on Delta Airlines. They have alot of granny flight attendants as well.In the states if her perky tits sagged 10mm. they would have brought her to the back door and bent her over and put a boot to her ass and gave her a shove and rolled her out into the alley with the dumpsters and they would hear a bowling ball strike sound as they slammed the door. This is also true of female flight attendants in the USA. Air Canada has some of the oldest granny flight attendants of any airline I have flown.
It sounds like CTV is willing to keep their agreement in the contract without keeping her on air. As long as she is financially compensated for the duration of the contract she can not do anything about it.
