This year BYD is putting Sodium ion batteries in all their EVs. They have abandoned the Lithium ion battery. BYD is shipping some to Canada. Right now Big OIL and Detroit got them banned for sale in the USA. Sodium ion batteries retail 90% of their charge in 0 degree weather! This changes everything. Sodium ion batteries made from salt, are cheaper, charge in less than an hour, more than double battery driving range and can last ~ 30 years!
