I see a lot of that in this thread but it’s not coming from those who are in support of the CUPE members
Exactly. The whole government PR on this has been about how much kids will be harmed. Thankfully parents see through that bullshit.

A few years ago, two CRA officers doing PR paid our company a visit to do a slide show.

The first slide said: "It is not your money, so any tax rate below 100% is a tax break." They said they were just kidding. I'm not so sure.

Jack Layton quote: "Tax breaks don't benefit people who don't pay taxes."

TERB member quote: " Eliminating car license fee doesn't benefit people who don't pay car license fees."
The feds just funded $600 in dental work for families making less than $90,000.
They also sent $500 to low income renters and doubled the GST credit.

Those will target people in need.
Not just car owners, like Ford's $1 billion/year sticker relief.

No guarantee that $600 will go to dental care for the kids. Parents receive the check and use it how they wish. Booze, weed, smokes, groceries, rent, utility bills.
What if parents already have a dental plan at work that covers the kids, and combined make less than $90,000, do they still get a check?

Perhaps you should read up on the details before commenting.

Why give a $1 billion a year tax break to car owners only, when you are complaining about a deficit?

Darts quote 'Anyway, why shouldn't ordinary citizens get a tax break instead of giving all our money to government workers?'
I wonder how many people who voted Liberal refused to cash the license rebate cheque that Big Daddy Ford sent them?

My guess would be 95% of them cashed the cheque and the other 5% forgot about the cheque or lost it.

Why should the ones voting liberal(I did not) not cash the cheques? It is the conservatives who are screaming about the deficit.

My guess is that 95% of them think spending billions on a highway between Ford's donors is useless, giving the greenbelt to donor developers a little evil and sending $200 to parents then refusing to pay support workers a living wage stupid. Sure, nobody will return checks, but that doesn't mean they aren't keeping track of what Ford is up to.

Ford is watching as well, there's a reason he negotiated this time.

Um. Are you really going to say that with a straight face when that is the exact same narrative the unions use?

Im pretty sure the first chioce of the parents is schools open.
