Because the guy he shot was a murdering Islamo Fascist scumbag.I have a hard time understanding how people can celebrate the killing of a human being. It is a sad reflection of the time we live in.

That "news" source is a bit suspect.
For the same reason other countries are. Doing our part to fight ISIS. Which if you haven't heard, is a global threat.Besides the fact our military is ineffectual and a waste of tax payers money
Why are we still in places like Iraq of Afghanistan?
What an idiotic comment. Do some research jackass.Besides the fact our military is ineffectual and a waste of tax payers money

Thats a pretty slow bullet to take 10 seconds to travel 3500 meters. Something sounds off about that statement. He annihilated the previous record by 1000 metres, and considering that was 2500 metres it's an improvement of almost 50%. It could stand for quite a while.
Apparently it took 10 seconds to hit the target... impressive!
No, not off. This round is a .50 calibre and is massive in comparison to other ammunition, that being the .30 cal, which was a WW2 standard load. So the size of the round being massive, it takes longer to reach its target. One calibre being used today is the 338 Lapua, which is a well known snipers weapon as well. A very powerful round in its own right.Thats a pretty slow bullet to take 10 seconds to travel 3500 meters. Something sounds off about that statement.
If im not mistaken the 50 caliber is a supersonic round that travels approximately 1500 meters per second. For that shot to take 10 seconds the bullet would have to be moving subsonic, and have some kind of stabilizer or else he would be pointing at the clouds. No, not off. This is quite an impressive shot too!
Someones got to do it and it might as well be a Canadian. I'm just glad I found my new sig.I have a hard time understanding how people can celebrate the killing of a human being. It is a sad reflection of the time we live in.
+1. He has a lot of idiotic statements on here..What an idiotic comment. Do some research jackass.
The bullets velocity slows as it travels down range, due to wind resistance. Can check the chart below.Actually its about 800-900 meters per second I was off by quite a bit, but still supersonic and should only take about 4 seconds of flight to travel 3500m. Still an amazing shot either way.
Just checking if my math is correct. That is approx. 2 miles?:hail:Someones got to do it and it might as well be a Canadian. I'm just glad I found my new sig.
Touche!Because the guy he shot was a murdering Islamo Fascist scumbag.
What is sad is how people are brainwashed by radical islam
You are so right. That dead ISIS could be a law abiding, peaceful and hardworking Canadian from Calgary.I have a hard time understanding how people can celebrate the killing of a human being. It is a sad reflection of the time we live in.
If this was not such a politically-correct era, the government should remind those Canadians travelling abroad to join ISIS that "we will blow your head off or you to smithereens".You are so right. That dead ISIS could be a law abiding, peaceful and hardworking Canadian from Calgary.
