There's no reason not to believe in a god, if you like that sort of thing, but why would you want to blame her for designing sinuses?

God might exist but that doesn't make Creation a science. The theory of Evolution is a science.

Almost all major Christian denominations accept evolution as part of what is going on.
The mainstream Christians may be evolving and slowly learning to accept that everything in the Bible shouldn't be accepted literally, but the fundamentalist Christian taliban around us are increasing in numbers and looking to force their beliefs more noisily than ever.

Get this...

About a month ago I had a conversation with a gentleman who tried to convince me that dinosaurs (yes, dinosaurs!!) walked the earth 'one-hundred years ago'. Even when I reminded this individual that; the car is just over one hundred years old; that cameras were readily available to capture the giant lizards if they were still here; that his great grandparents would have seen/heard of them as contemporaries, he stuck to his mind-set. At that point the conversation ended as I realized that we were millions of years apart and only had one night to converse.....

I still shake my head thinking of this.
Good grief!

May be? How about have long since.
How long? If it's less than a couple hundred years, that's not very long ago in the long history of religious dominance. They are slowly evolving, but could easily backtrack with the rise of the fundamentalists they often defend.

Going through ooh-ya-more posting history, I see a bunch of posts about his belief in the Christian God and asking about various MPA's.

Must be one of those new age Christians that it's okay to freely fornicate but wrong to accept science.
Oh shyt.... now THATS funny! Brought tears to my eyes! LMAO

Are you one of those nuts who thinks the world is 4000 years old?

If not let me ask you this: Why wouldn't God choose evolution as his preferred method of creating life? Who says he didn't start the universe so perfectly in the big bang that everything unfolded per a plan, with evolution being just another part of that plan?
God says "its none of fuji's business"

I really rather doubt that.
There's no reason it couldn't happen, we went into Dark Ages once before because of fundamentalists and it's happening again in some parts of the world.

150 years is nothing on the grand scale, religious people had to be dragged forward often against their beliefs and it's easy for them to revert back into their protective calming faith cocoons when they are confronted again.

during the cambrian explosion about 550 million years ago, complex species suddenly appeared over a period of 15 million years or so. We are talking about very complex animals, some of which have remained unchanged today appear suddenly without and fossil record of any earlier or simpler forms. Prior to the cambrian explosion there is absolutely nothing in the fossil record other than plants and single celled organisms.

The creationists are always coming up with new angles...and the latched on to "intelligent design" and other concepts such as irreducible complexity, etc. I actually do understand the principles involved, and these arguments are just the old tired creationist arguments, repackaged, complete with testimonials and conversion stories. If you only listen to the creationist side you will get fed a diet of outriight lies, half truths, and many many distortions. I know because I did listen...checked a lot of their claims out, and found them to be bogus.

Even you post includes some of these stupidities. Evolution needing two opposites?...where does that come from. The origin of species (what evolution is about) is science, creation is conjecture and speculation at best. And many of the leading proponents of creation actually accept evolution as the mechanism of speciation. So they are not in conflict, even if you do believe in a creator. But the fundamentalist lobby would have you think that there is some merit in their stone age beliefs...so on they go, with millions of dollars to burn in advertising, producing videos, etc.

Say hi to that idiot Gish when you end up in hell beside him ooh-ya-more. He'll be there for lying...not sure of what you'll be there for. Perhaps fornication?
