Yes, and you and the MSM and political hacks all over, instead of asking questions, simply declared the lab origins a "conspiracy theory " and "debunked it " based on that assertion.I remember when Trump first started talking about the lab leak hypothesis- it was at the same time that he was minimizing the virus, refusing to wear a mask, encouraging people to inject themselves with bleach, etc.
Moreover, when Trump was asked why he thought the lab leak theory was valid his reply was that his opinion was based on secret information that he could not share. Then he started calling covid the āKung Fluā and āChina Virusā after specifically being asked not to out of concern about ginning up hate against Asian Americans.
So overall it looked like Trump was just spewing politicized bs like he always doesā¦and in the absence of any other credible source supporting this idea everyone concluded that Trump was just lying again.

I won't speak for others but I dismissed it based on the lack of evidence for it at the time. And based on the intelligence and medical agencies, at the time of Trump's ramblings, there was absolutely nothing to back it.

Based on the publicly available evidence, zoonotic transfer in the area of the market is more likely. If some FOI request or FBI publication releases the basis they use to make their low confidence claim, I'll happily reassess but I'm not going to do so simply because there's a lab 30 km away from the market.

I think we all know that the U.S. government talked to social media companies to suppress information coming out about the vaccines efficiency or lack thereof. They didn't want to discourage vaccination and especially of children. They didn't want any criticism of the vaccines because they didn't want to stall any political momentum for childhood vaccine mandates. Which of course were never needed.
