I remember when Trump first started talking about the lab leak hypothesis- it was at the same time that he was minimizing the virus, refusing to wear a mask, encouraging people to inject themselves with bleach, etc.

Moreover, when Trump was asked why he thought the lab leak theory was valid his reply was that his opinion was based on secret information that he could not share. Then he started calling covid the ā€œKung Fluā€ and ā€œChina Virusā€ after specifically being asked not to out of concern about ginning up hate against Asian Americans.

So overall it looked like Trump was just spewing politicized bs like he always doesā€¦and in the absence of any other credible source supporting this idea everyone concluded that Trump was just lying again.

Now we have assessments of low to moderate confidence that perhaps it was a lab leak and the Trump supporters are all desperately trying to do celebration dances in the end zone? LMAOā€¦Dude- check the scoreboard; youā€™re on the wrong end of a blow out and you donā€™t even know it.

Yes, and you and the MSM and political hacks all over, instead of asking questions, simply declared the lab origins a "conspiracy theory " and "debunked it " based on that assertion. šŸ˜†

They're still spouting the Trump said to inject bleach BS I see as well. Which of course he never did.

But I guess if you repeat it enough you begin to believe it though.....

You're not wrapping yourself in science, just conjecture and propaganda.
Culture and propaganda of actually reading through published scientific studies? Maybe I should join the intelligent people like you and get all my info from tiktok.

I won't speak for others but I dismissed it based on the lack of evidence for it at the time. And based on the intelligence and medical agencies, at the time of Trump's ramblings, there was absolutely nothing to back it.

Right. Have you actually looked at what he said? C-Span has the video as well as the transcript.

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so itā€™d be interesting to check that, so that youā€™re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, weā€™ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. Thatā€™s pretty powerful."

Listen carefully and look at Dr. Birx's face as she's fighting herself to not call him a fucking stupid idiot. After you watched it, do yourself a favor and edit your post. LMFAO

I think the word you are looking for is coincidence, not evidence Yes, we both had an opinion back when Trump was running his gums. Since then, you've stuck with your opinion because it is your opinion and I have been reading the science for evidence to see if there is a reason to change my view.

Based on the publicly available evidence, zoonotic transfer in the area of the market is more likely. If some FOI request or FBI publication releases the basis they use to make their low confidence claim, I'll happily reassess but I'm not going to do so simply because there's a lab 30 km away from the market.

I tried to help you but go ahead, Easter is around the corner so standing up for a butterball is fitting, I guess. That is if you have Turkey for Easter.

Question for those who got the jab, how do you feel about Pfizer admitting it doesn't prevent transmission when you were told by the scientists and political leaders that it would?
I'm not holding my breath for replies, but non-answers will also be very insightful as well since you all seem to have something to say, but will you share your thoughts on this?

The Covidians will say some nonsense about evolving science and all that crap.

What evidence did you have in 2020 to dismiss the lab leak theory? Oh, right, NOTHING!

Here, a trip down the memory lane.

Yep..The promises of diminished covid transmission never came to fruition.

Of course the Covidians still believe in vaccines for everyone at all levels, lol.

I think we all know that the U.S. government talked to social media companies to suppress information coming out about the vaccines efficiency or lack thereof. They didn't want to discourage vaccination and especially of children. They didn't want any criticism of the vaccines because they didn't want to stall any political momentum for childhood vaccine mandates. Which of course were never needed.
