The original recording by Simon and Garfunkel was great as well.
Simon and Garfunkel were not the original recording artists for the theme from Jonny Quest. It's by Hoyt Curtin and Ted Nichols, in-house composers/ arrangers for Hanna-Barbera studios.

To my knowledge, Simon and Garfunkel never recorded nor arranged any instrumental numbers. If they had played TTfJQ live, Art would have had to sit there picking his ass for a minute twenty, and I don't think Paul Simon is a good enough musician to play that song solo on acoustic guitar.

Johnny Quest originally aired on ABC in primetime during the 1964-65 season, (primetime was from 7:30 PM then). It premiered a few weeks before the release of the first Simon and Garfunkel album, Wednesday Morning, 3 AM.

I lie...Simon and Garfunkel performed a brief instrumental at the beginning of their performance on the Dutch television show Twien, (12 June 1966):

OK, I got a few

Judas priest, Diamonds and Rust LIVE (must be the live version)

This is a kick-ass, tight, rock anthem created from a Joan Baez song about her and Bob Dylan apparently.

One of my favorite live recordings.

Great workout song.

My bad. For some reason I was referring to the song Bridge Over Troubled Waters. Too many glasses of wine I guess. LOL.

You quoted the wrong post, eddie, and I gently teased you about it.

If you like Simon and Garfunkel, do take the time to watch that Twein video. It's from just when they were starting to be hugely popular, a few months after the release of their second album.
