Dweezil does an excellent job of covering his Father's music

I like Dweezils version better as Franks original version is too short as this beautiful piece needed to be longer

Watermelon in Easter Hay was what Frank called a good jam session, just his creative way of expression

Ok, maybe not the best version, but pretty good, and Jeff Beck's solo beginning at 3:35 is amazing!

The original recording by Simon and Garfunkel was great as well.
Simon and Garfunkel were not the original recording artists for the theme from Jonny Quest. It's by Hoyt Curtin and Ted Nichols, in-house composers/ arrangers for Hanna-Barbera studios.

To my knowledge, Simon and Garfunkel never recorded nor arranged any instrumental numbers. If they had played TTfJQ live, Art would have had to sit there picking his ass for a minute twenty, and I don't think Paul Simon is a good enough musician to play that song solo on acoustic guitar.

Johnny Quest originally aired on ABC in primetime during the 1964-65 season, (primetime was from 7:30 PM then). It premiered a few weeks before the release of the first Simon and Garfunkel album, Wednesday Morning, 3 AM.

I lie...Simon and Garfunkel performed a brief instrumental at the beginning of their performance on the Dutch television show Twien, (12 June 1966):
