The only way you might want to stock up is if martial law would be talked about to stop the spread of this strong cold virus.

If martial law is imposed for a month, how many people would have enough food and drink to last that long?

Till then, lets get Trudeau to close the country to international travel by air from infected countries. We would have nothing to fear if the virus cant come here.

This particular Corona virus which is going global obviously knows no borders. The Tokyo Olympics will likely be cancelled and even if they go ahead, they will be a sliver of what they normal would be with many key nations simply staying home or being asked to stay home. If the virus can stay around until next fall then unless a vaccine is develop the virus will have mutated for the worse. The phenomenon of having China as the virtual exclusive manufacturer in the global supply chain will necessarily have to be restructured but nobody else can immediately fill the void because local work forces have been decimated. For example look at what happened to the manufacturing industry in say southern Ontario over the past four decades ! There are no immediately skilled trades people, infrastructure or capital in Canada now other countries are in the same boat. The Central Banks are scared shitless . Even is this virus does go away soon, China's vulnerability has been laid bare for inevitable future "virii ". And what will happen to the live vaccine flu shot which is taken from three centres in China from the previous years outbreak?

China is back to work already. My contract manufacturer in China tells me to expect a resupply of my inventory shortly.

If the virus can stay around until next fall then unless a vaccine is
develop the virus will have mutated for the worse.
Pathogenic bacteria will mutate to become more
resistant towards antibiotic. With virus I don't know
how it will mutate for the worse to its host and for
its own benefit at the same time. Common flu has been
mutating for ages but it is no more or less lethal
than it used to be. From Darwin's perspective nature
will want the coronavirus to mutate to a form less
contagious for its own survival, I would think.

Coronavirus is not as deadly as SARS for
which no vaccine needed to be developed.
But it is more contagious than SARS. Hopefully
this will end as swiftly as the SARS epidemic.

Speak for yourself, this is great for you, but most who rely on China for supplies are not so lucky, at least not yet. The markets are reflecting this sentiment still and so are the Central Banks. How candid is the PRC propaganda machine anyway, indeed how candid are any governments. Is your contract manufacturer a state owned PRC company, probably yes so what the fuck would you expect them to say !!!

Are you under the impression that the majority of companies in China is state-owned?

I have 2 main suppliers in china, both are telling me that business is resuming back to normal.

People need to work and get paid, in china and everywhere else. Corona virus, zombie outbreak, alien invasion, I will still continue to do business and I expect others to do the same.
