Horse shit!!! .....I don’t recall people protesting in the streets looking for more “inclusiveness” or whatever other stupid catch phrase popped in the head of Trudope. This is nothing more than creating a problem where none existed before plain and simple. This is Canada, we’ve always been inclusive and welcoming, we don’t need those two idiots in Ottawa droning endlessly about it. People are growing fatigued of all the political correctness and it’s doing the opposite of what Butts & Trudeau had intended and its caused some backlash. Never mind that mindless tweet that opened the floodgates to illegal migrants. Trudeau is undoubtedly the worst PM this country has had to date bar none!!!

What do you mean you used to be an immigrant. Either you are or you aren’t If you came to this country from another country you are an immigrant for the rest of your life.
Nope. I'm a Canadian citizen since the mid eighties. I may have emigrated from somewhere, but I'm a tax paying, law abiding (more or less) citizen of a Great White North. And I fart in the general direction of all those who would cheapen it. I may have two or three passports, but I made a commitment to this here country. That's one of the failures of this country, the celebration of divided loyalties.

Immigration over the past 20 years have transformed the "905" into a visible minorities majority. These folks are industrious, self-starters, family oriented (some households have 3 generations) and are conservative in nature. They are the ones who gave Premier Ford his majority government. The next federal election in 2019 will be very interesting.

And, my fellow Canadian, is what it’s all about!

Another smear. You folks don't read carefully.

Mass immigration and a promotion of unlimited diversity over integration leads to religious, ethnic, and cultural enclaves. A Balkanized society is not a good one. You want people to co-mingle rather than stay in separate communities.
Maybe you should visit the city of Toronto sometime.

How do you get them co-mingled if you won't let them in? Like wigglee says, visit Toronto. And if you live here, vote for a Mayor, Councillor and School Trustee who try to dismantle those balkanized ghettos.

If you have more than one passport, you by definition have divided loyalties.

If you had made a commitment to Canada you would have given up your other passports.

I'm a student of history, not a fool. And the Canadian citizenship is revokable- under certain circumstances. Sometimes circumstances change as the German Jews(for example) discovered. In short, it's called insurance.

You may be a Canadian citizen just like I am, But you were still an immigrant. The vast majority of immigrants who come here love this country are law-abiding citizens and pay their taxes. The fact that you have two or three passports and would probably cheer for whatever country you came from if they were playing a sporting event against Canada tells me that you were not a real Canadian.

Actually, USA legal immigration system is largely merit based, as pretty much the only way to get a work visa is to have a company bring you into the country, after having proved that the expertise is unavailable in USA.

I guess there is some kind of additional lottery system.
wrong again how many times are you going to repeat this lie?

Family immigration is the primary basis for legal immigration to the United States. Under current immigration law, U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPRs) can sponsor certain family members for a visa that provides permanent residence, also known as a “green card.” Since the time of our first colonies in the 17th century, immigration has been family-based, but the enactment of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of 1965 formally set family ties as the main way people immigrate to America. Today family visas account for about 65 percent of legal immigration each year.

You made an assumption about me, and then you reached a conclusion based on that assumption. What do we call that? Btw, I cheer for the team Canada, the Maple Laughs, the Blow Jay's and the Bayern Munich.

What, are you going to say you're a native?

Why does that matter? I thought the point is all Canadians should have equal rights whether they are South Asians in Brampton, born again Christian Jamaicans, Eastern European righties, or Canadian born faux socialists.

Why should we have any "goals" in this regard. Its just a simple matter of tolerence, not social engineering.
You don't think an immigration policy should have a goal?

Who is "native"? It's a meaningless term. Are members of my family who were born here native? Or are they second rate Canadians because they were born in the twentieth century instead of sixteenth? By that definition, btw, the aboriginals are not much of the Canadians since there was no Canada until the latter part of the nineteenth century.

That's going to get you in serious trouble if you keep with that line.
If you're not a native you're an immigrant or from an immigrant family.
